When we moved to this town, we immediately wanted to give back to our community. After researching many organizations, we found that mountain projects was at the top of our list. They provide direct services in food distribution, transportation, affordable housing, so many services for those who have financial issues. They receive a lot of grants from a number of organizations but it is clearly not enough. Their food bank recently ran out and they joined forces with other local nonprofits by using their transportation system to distribute food that other organizations had in stock. They are a team player with other nonprofits in the area. They look to create a support system that assist those in need in our area.. They even have a thrift store in Sylva North Carolina that needs donations. It is one way that they build revenue to help others. They are the organization that provides home repairs for those in financial need. They also build local affordable homes. I highly recommend supporting this nonprofit organization read more
