Our move with this company was approximately a quarter mile and was supposed to take two days. It…read moretook six days. They worked three hours a day for the first three days then took Sunday off. They then worked another three hours on the fifth day finally finishing with a five hour day on the last day. They were careless and damaged almost every piece of furniture they moved with gouges, scratches and cracks. They damaged baseboards and walls in both homes as well. The owner's solution was to tell us to go to a hardware store and get the materials we needed to fix the damage ourselves. They failed to reassemble furniture once it was moved or reassembled things incorrectly. They did not move all items that were agreed to and dropped some items wherever they felt like. Unfortunately, the owner did not provide a written contract and, despite the damage and his failure to live up to the verbal agreement, insisted on full payment when they finally finished. I wouldn't hire this guy again to move a dog house.

The final bill ended up being over $1,700, far above what I was led to expect. When I called to discuss the huge difference with management, the response was immediately defensive. I was basically told that because the quote was hourly, there was nothing they could do. I understand estimates can vary, but this felt very misleading and poorly planned from the beginning. If the job realistically required more time or additional movers, that should have been communicated upfront instead of leaving customers shocked by a bill hundreds of dollars higher than expected.
