Amanda is very attentive to your requests regarding the type of massage you want, any specific requests and if you have any sensitive areas. She also plays very soothing music at a good volume (not too loud or quiet). The room itself is ok, although it is easy to hear the noise from outside. The staff were unfriendly, very short with customers, and communication was difficult because of the language barrier. I often had trouble understanding what was being said, and I never felt like anyone took the time to make sure we understood each other. What frustrated me most was that no one asked how I wanted my nails done. Instead of discussing shape, length, or preferences, they simply did what they wanted. The service also felt very rushed and rough. While filing my nails, the technician actually filed into the skin along the side of one of my nails, causing it to bleed and leaving it sore afterward. I also had an issue with their scheduling policies. I had to cancel an appointment but immediately rescheduled for another time. When I checked out after my rescheduled appointment, I was unexpectedly charged a $30 cancellation fee. This fee was never disclosed when I made the appointment, wasn't communicated when I rescheduled, and I couldn't find it posted anywhere in the salon. Charging customers an undisclosed fee after the fact is unacceptable. On top of everything else, the salon did not appear as clean as I would expect for a business that performs nail services, which left me uncomfortable. There are many other nail salons in the Kenai area that value customer service, communication, and professionalism. Unfortunately, this was one of the worst salon experiences I've had, and I won't be returning. I cannot recommend Aurora Nails Spa.

The lady named Lori messed up my septum piercing bad. She acted like she knew what she was doing…read more The pictures show that she didn't. That day Lori was on her personal cell phone arguing with her mother before and after my piercing. The only cleaning instruction she told me to do was warm water. That's it. I ended Up keeping the piercing for less than 24 hours And then taking it out. Lori told me she would give me Jewelry to make up for the Botched piercing. And then she started ignoring my calls. She never gave me any jewelry. She Originally wanted me to take it out and re-pierce it three days later. But my septum still hurts to this day where she pierced it. There is NO WAY I'll ever let this lady touch me again.
