I came here the first week of April after five plus years of not going to the dentist. My delay was due to anxiety, not insurance as I have very good dental insurance. When I was seated for my first visit I was advised it would be approximately 2 hours, as It entailed x-rays and a variety of tests. I was shocked that I'd be there for so long. I refused and it was shortened as I had to pick up my son from school. After the shortened exam, I was told I had 2 cavities, however, instead of making an appointment to fill the cavities the Dr. scheduled two separate cleanings. After I explained that I really wanted the cavities filled, Dr. Moughan flat out refused and adamantly stated she had to finish the extensive testing, and that she may ultimately end up doing a root canal on the teeth down the road.... This is absolutely mind boggling and I can only assume this is all about money and billing for as many tests as she can, as my insurance covers it. I am sure if I didn't have dental insurance she would have forgone the testing and filled the cavities.
