Such a luxurious, authentic (and amazingly affordable) way to experience the west coast of Corsica. This "motel" was recommended by my French tutor who has family in Corsica and was able to point us to this semi-hidden gem, right on the secluded Plage du Pero. For €70/night (low season) we had the most amazing room with a private balcony looking straight out onto the turquoise Mediterranean Sea. Half of their rooms have been renovated with beautiful modern amenities and plenty of space (compared to even American hotels). There's a bar & excellent restaurant on site so you really never need to leave. Swim, eat, drink, sleep...vacation paradise! Though, the breakfast is incredibly basic & overpriced so it's wise to BYO and keep it in the fridge in your room. The motel is just a 5 minute drive to Cargese, where you can grocery shop or eat out in the cute centre ville. Best of all worlds, and the highlight of our entire vacation in France!
