It's been a while since I stayed in a motel style where you park your car within 10 feet of the bed. I'm not sure I would like this as much in busier times but it was okay this week. On the negative side: The walls of the rooms tend to be a bit thin and you can hear your neighbours rumbling around at times. The hotel rooms are a bit on the smaller side but it's manageable but I wouldn't want to experience it for a longer period or with more than 2 people. On the positive side: The rooms are clean, the WIFI is good and there is a bar/restaurant in the main building which is convenient. Also the rooms facing the Bay De Chaleur across the road would be quite nice in summer! All in all I'd rate it as an acceptable place to stay for a shorter period.

I stayed at this hotel during the wedding of a friend of mine. I was initially a little worried…read morebecause it was the only place in town we could stay. Anyhow, I was very pleased. The room was very clean and up to date, and it had everything we needed. It was also located very convenient to a few shops downtown, which was great. There was a bar and restaurant in the hotel, both of which had great food. Needless to say the wedding party got really rowdy and I was amazed that we weren't kicked out of the place. The hotel staff must have seen a lot worse than us. Anyhow, we were there 2 nights and very pleased with the accommodations, and the food. The other thing of note was how helpful the staff were. We had brought our dog with us, because he is too scared to be left alone. Once we told the desk staff how nervous he is, they offered to keep him in the reception area with them while we were at the wedding and reception so that he wasn't lonely in our room all by himself. It was so nice of them and so appreciated.

Recently stayed at this lodge and it was not a nice experience. The water pressure was so low, the…read moreshower would not work if anyone else was running water in one of the other 5 chalets. The beds were lumpy, the linen was ripped and the towels were thin and shredded. The kitchenette was not well stocked with dishes and utensils, etc. The T.V. Did not work. The one star was for the view. The lodge needs a new chef and new management. We will not be back here!
