WOW. We went to Aviles for a race, and when the host hotel down in the center of town was too expensive, we found this option, just about 5k from the Neimeyer Center, tucked away outside of the busy part of the town. When you pull up to the Motel, you'll first find there is no parking lot - just a gate. We went inside and had someone translate for us. Essentially, the take away points are these: - Each unit has it's own private garage. When you arrive, you say your room number and the gate lifts, and when you get to your unit, your garage door is open. - There are no room keys. You enter through your garage door. That's the only way into the room. - There is a lazy Susan for room service. They'll place it in from the backside (inaccessible to you) hallway and spin your food into the room. - The bathroom has a bidet and big tub for two. - The room has two full walls of mirrors and a roll down privacy window shutter that looks like it could keep a hurricane out. - There is a small desk and mounted TV on the wall. - The full room service menu includes drinks, food, alcohol, and special packages that range from cute (rose petals, champagne, and pancakes) to kinky (condoms, zoro mask, edible underwear and a feather). This place is a sexy time motel. Discrete, private, and ready for action. There is free wifi, but it's spotty (probably because of the mirrors). A cab from here to town was between 15-25 euro depending on the day, so this is a better spot if you have a car. Or just want a short term stay. Super interesting place - not a regular hotel.
