DH and I had a five-night stay and found the suite to be ideal for that length of time. We could spread out and relax more than if we had just had a standard room. Decor is "comfortable" but nothing fancy. My main complaint is the breakfast. During the weekdays, china and flatware are used. But on Saturday and Sunday, we had foam plates and cups and plastic ware. Ugh. The best part of breakfast was the bold coffee which was surprisingly good. Juice tasted watered down. The muffins and bread products and "fresh" fruit were mediocre. The do-it-yourself waffles had an odd flavor, and I could only take a couple of bites. The hot dish varied each day: mini omelette; scrambled eggs, bacon, and potatoes; chicken and biscuits; etc. For the most part the hot dish was unappealing. One day I opted for oatmeal but most days I stuck with the vanilla yogurt. I would suggest less variety and higher quality on the food. If the food were better this would have been a four-star review.

I am disappointed as I have enjoyed my stays in hotels by the brand in the past. Lots of stains. They are doing a lot of renovations and boxes were everywhere, stairwells blocked, and lots of wires out with lights flickering. There are a breakfast and a nice seating area. Overall, just pretty run down and wish all the renovation things were put away so they were not cluttering the hallway and enabling to get upstairs, etc.

This is the WORST place I have ever been to. I walked in the building and was greeted with a strong smell of cigarettes and a nasty carpet that probably has never been cleaned or changed since the motel was built in the who knows when. We walked into our room expecting decency because we are at "Quality Inn" not only was there huge period stains that looked like they came from an ape but dead bugs on my blanket non the less our lamp looked like snacks for the moths which were covered in holes. I also discovered a Santa in our room which was the nicest thing the room came with. Our bathroom looked like something out of horror movie. The floors were sticky along with the walls that I could probably walk up them. I'm not sure if it's wizz, jizz, or I don't even know. When I requested for new sheets because ours looked like one of those reusable period pads the man over the phone was yelling at us speaking in random tongue that nobody in the 21st century has ever learned. He hung up on us and threw the sheets at us through the door. Not only were they sheets also disgusting and had a cigarette burn mark but were thinner then a 1 ply piece of toilet paper. My friend later tried opening our door because only one of our 2 keycards worked and the manager saw us struggling for the 2 seconds we were and said he say us on the camera and that our phone had to be in a 90 mile radius from the lock. This man who works here is literally in the wall. I had really important business to attend to but I didn't know what time it was because the clock said "A:44" I have no clue what time that is even referring to. This was in one night. The morning after the horrific sleep on that godawful mattress I went downstairs to see if I could even find anything edible to eat for breakfast. Let's just say it contained of mushy mutated apples, powdery waffles, and watery snotty eggs. I still have one more dreadful night in this place and I'm counting down the seconds before I can go home. Please save your money and stay tuned for night 2 and pray we don't get broken into (the door handle fell off)

We had friends that had the king suite where there was a door separating the pullout, couch and little kitchenette area, made it nice for some privacy. Both of our rooms had a nice little kitchenette with a sink, a bunch of kitchen supplies and a really decent size fridge. It came up to head and I am 5'6"plenty of room for tons of food. Beds were comfortable, pillows, and linens were good. Easy check-in, we use the app to request more blankets and they were brought up promptly and checked out through the app was great. Beautiful area right across from a large park with a good playground for kids and a walking path by a pond! They have pet stations around the hotel property. Breakfast was delicious, they had to make your own breakfast sandwich, stuff like biscuits, sausage, turkey sausage, egg patties, cheese, bagels, pastries, egg bites, oatmeal, yogurt, cereal, waffle maker, juices...etc.Coffee was decent. Kids loved the pool. It's small but works for a quick stay. We didn't use the gym but looked in and it has really decent equipment and looks super clean.

We were in town for a baseball tournament and the kids and I were very comfortable in our big 2 queen suite. Very clean, spacious and nice toiletries. The hotel is well kept and nicely decorated. Decent hot breakfast (the ladies who were keeping it clean were friendly and lovely). The pool is advertised as heated but it was pretty chilly! Still nice. Really cool seating area inside. There are some snack options for sale but they're limited (and no alcohol for the adults). If we ever need to come back to DeKalb, we'll stay here for sure!

I spoke with the desk and was told that we could check out then and get a refund for the 1 night, as we only booked the second night so my kids could swim. After two weeks of back and forth i was told the refund was pending. then i called back again and the manager told me no refund will be issued. The manager spoke over me and says they have a cancellation policy. He claimed i should have asked if their pool is in operation when i made the reservation. Manager claims this is "he said she said" with his employee and will not refund. I asked if they have cameras at the desk so he can hear his employee tell me i will get a refund. Manager kept saying, "no no no no refund" Not to mention it was dirty and smelled.

However, if that was the first Red Roof room I ever stayed in, it would have been the last. It was terrible! The beds were both way too low to be comfortable for a handicapped person. And I could both hear and feel the bed springs. I've slept on more comfortable cots. The shower was a mess. The hand held shower head would not stay in the holder. I had to hold it, or drop it on the floor. Where it connected to the plumbing, it leaked, and sprayed water all over. Another thing is their false advertising. On their page, they promise a lobby with coffee. They promise a workout room. Both of those are closed (due to Covid). If Covid was a very recent thing, I could see those still being advertised as amenities. However, it's been more than a year. Other businesses allow people inside; why can't Red Roof? Or if they insist on keeping those things closed, they should be honest, and state that they are closed.
