The room served it's purpose for our new year eve adventure. The price was right. The bed sheets seemed clean, the blanket and bed spread were filthy. The blanket had holes in it. Lots of them. I asked for another one and I was told no. That they don't carry them. The bathroom shower had mold. The bathroom sink was very slow to drain. I used a towel to wipe the floor down after my shower and it was filthy. The a.c. seemed spotty. The shower pressure was dreadful. Lots of outside noise. A couple violently arguing woke me up outside my room. The key was stubborn to open the door. The tv remote stopped working. I didn't see any bugs. The area seemed rough but really didn't have any problems. read more

"How bad can it be?" I thought, "If it's right near the county sheriff's office, can it really be that dangerous?" I was naive. Pompano Beach is not the greatest of areas, but luckily I knew that going into my stay here. However, this is probably the seediest part of town. The only things within walking distance are fast food joints and strip clubs. Do not walk around without a purpose at night; the locals will turn you into mince meat if you act like a clueless tourist. I did not encounter any drug dealers or prostitutes like other reviewers, but there were a number of very inebriated people on the grounds of the motel. The smell of marijuana seems to waft around at most hours. People staying here are a weird mix of vacationers and poor locals with substance abuse problems. I know how to handle myself among the intoxicated and mentally unstable, but even I was a little on edge here. Sheriff's department cruisers are often parked here (in fact I heard them arresting someone in one of the rooms adjacent to mine) and the security on staff carry loaded guns. The thought of being hit by a stray bullet definitely crossed my mind. The actual interior of the rooms are not so bad. They seem to have been recently renovated, with nice parquet floors and an attractive orange color scheme. The good ends there. The rooms lack a mini fridge, which is very annoying. Want new towels? You're going to have to ask for them since it seems house keeping does not make routine rounds. The kicker of my experience was that for the first two nights of my three night stay I could not get into my room due to key issues. Their system was acting funny and not accepting my card key. Only after about five visits down to the office was someone able to come up and completely reset our door with new batteries and new keys. It was beyond frustrating. The staff here is actually quite friendly, but are ultimately very ineffective at maintaining ideal conditions at this motel. Would I come back? No, definitely not. My stay here was bizarre to say the least, and the whole atmosphere here is very strange. Some snowbirds, some party animals and some low income permanent motel residents all just milling around, acting strangely. Reserve a room at your own risk; like I said, at least I knew what I was getting into. read more

One of the worst place you could ever stay even if it's just for one night!!! My room smell of weed I asked if I could changes room they said no! Even thou I saw couple of empty ones walking towards the the lobby. Worst customer services ever! She was very rude and dismissive, she said that they don't guarantee that the room would be filled with smoked even thought we requested a non-smoking room. It was so bad that Sheets had holes and lining smelled used, like no one had change them. The shower had a mixture of mold and dirt. I sincerely thought going and sleeping in my car more than once, and that would have been a better option than this crap! Ps. It was $140 US dollars the night. Please save your money and go somewhere else. Its not worth it. I will start with, Be sure to not leave your room after 10pm cause if you do you Security will be harassing you also if you try to walk to the store at night and write you down in some book to leave/kicked out. You will have drug dealers following you anywhere you try to go. " hey yo you Party" 1 million times over again. Bedding has cigarette holes in them. Rooms interior are faling apart. Got a room here a few nights ago, although it was an expensive room I probably should have just checked in under a bridge (at least that would've been free). The room I originally got before being moved was roach infested, moldy smelling, bathroom door couldn't close, and the furniture look like something salvaged out from a flooded bedroom. Terrible! Sketchy area, we definitely did not feel safe in this area.There were ppl hanging around outside all night . The door didn't shut tight, the phone was broken, no iron, no hair dryer, no fridge , no microwave, no alarm clock. Not even shampoo or conditioner. The bedding looked disgusting. Holey blankets and lord knows what on the sheets. In the bathroom there was only one bath mat and one towel. Since we couldn't call down to the front desk my husband had to go down. He came back w/ one wash cloth and two towels. The floors were filthy. Oh, breakfast was just coffee and only in the morning. This appears to be the type of place u use um...by the hour. Since my review on Expedia was rejected, despite following their guidelines, I'm sure Yelp will do the trick. I was stranded in Florida (from Oklahoma) and needed a cheap motel for a couple days. Motel was very cheap and was just what I needed. I didn't care about how "crappy" the quality was going to be, I just needed something with a bed. The receptionist acted like she hated her life. But who doesn't? When my Uber driver was dropping me off, he mentioned "I'm not going to lie, this motel is in a really bad part of town. If you need to go to that gas station (located literally 50 ft away), let me go with you right now so you're not alone." I told him I didn't need to at that moment, but I should have.. The second night staying there, I decided I needed a bottle of water and something to munch on. It was the evening, about 6 o'clock, and I left my room for the first time since I checked in. Just as I started walking away from the motel, an older African-American man on a bicycle came really up to me and tried to talk to me, as he followed very closely.. I tried to walk briskly to the gas station but he followed my pace, keeping his distance within two feet. I tried to pass it off that he was just a weirdo who wanted to talk but he just kept getting closer and he was talking under his breath so basically I couldn't hear a word he was saying. I went into the gas station, struggled to figure out what I wanted to purchase because my mind was not on food or drink, but rather I didn't know if I was going to be alive to leave Florida. The cashiers were questionable too as they were over-complementiative as well as telling me, "Hope to see you come back to Florida soon." I glared at them jokingly say "I hope I can too... I really do..." thinking I might not see the light of day tomorrow let alone come back to Florida. I might get KILLED tonight. And just as I suspected, the man that followed me to the gas station was at the door waiting for me when I walked out the door. He followed even closer and kept looking at me, trying to talk to me under his breath. He followed so close, I thought in those moments that I was probably going to get stabbed, shot, or any other close contact experience he wanted to lead me into. I really was scared for my life. He followed all the way until we were really close to the motel building and at that point I said, "Ok, I'm going back to my room now.." And he started to back off a little, still following. I walked briskly around the corner of the building where he couldn't see me anymore and then I sprinted to my room so he couldn't see what room I was in. I wouldn't say that this entire experience is to be blamed on the motel. None of what the staff did or the owners did is what caused this to happen. Does this mean you probably shouldn't come here if you don't really have to? I would say so. Putting your life in danger simply walking to a gas station? No one needs to go through that. I hope this keeps people from coming because if I had known this was going to happen, I most likely would not have come here. But I mean... If you're desperate for a cheap hotel and can protect yourself, go right ahead! read more

I was traveling with family when we stopped to sleep for the night and found the Motel 6. When we arrived a police car was by the lobby with the siren lights on. We figured whatever happened was being taken care of. Throuh out the entire night the cop drove around the parking lot with his blue lights flashing. It was concerning to see because it showed how unsafe the area must be. The door to our room #213 didnt even lock! The room was not up to any standards of cleanliness! The big problem for us was the ROACHES!!!! I know we are in the south, but that is disgusting and made me want to sleep in the car! I hope the hotel manager reads this and calls the exterminator! We cancelled and received our money back in full. The staff was nice and helpful however they are the only redeeming quality about this place. After reading the reviews I was a little leery of staying here. It's no gem by any means, and the area was a little schetchy. Was it a reasonable place to spend the night? You bet. I didn't see evidence of roaches and the room was clean. Everything worked as it should. Bed was comfortable and the towels offered a free exfoliation. AC was cold. read more

This "motel" should be on a episode of Law and Order SVU. I know it is a cheaper motel, but from the moment I pulled up, people were just walking around with their shirts off, hanging outside smoking everything under the sun, drinking and being very loud. I also arrived at 12 am...it was insane. The place turns into a zoo. People walking past rooms carrying on loud conversations, playing music loud and talking about which drugs were in which room and where to find the prostitutes. I had a man knock my door at 2:45 am until he realized he had the wrong room. I honestly was too scared to leave my room because more and more people seemed to congregate outside. I would have rather slept in my car. Absolutely horrifying and scary experience. By all means, drive to Ft. Lauderdale and get a better hotel. I also got a non smoking room and it definitely was not. There was so many people smoking weed in their own rooms it just seeped into ours. All of my clothes smell Like it as well. read more

Stayed here for 2 nights got a great deal of $65 and $61 a night using a 10 percent promo code I got off line which helped, so book online to save some $ the first room we stayed in over night was great room 140 by the next morning we had lost all power to our room they wound up moving us rooms to 219 power worked great and the ac worked even better small but great for a shower tv and rest. Only draw back was there was a huge roach in our bathroom as I took our daughter to the restroom in the middle of the night. Other than that staff was helpful did what had to be done, and on the bright side looks like the bottom floor by the office was getting re done, so that's good. read more

Okay, so let's be honest. This hotel has a long history of being really crappy. I've stayed at it several times over the years because I just didn't have any other options for the price range I was looking for. They seemed to have management that just didn't care. The rooms were outdated, and needed a serious cleaning. To give them the benefit of the doubt, they cannot control the neighborhood this motel is in. It's got some very undesirable people around-with a homeless shelter and 3 strip clubs in the immediate area what do you think it is going to attract? However, they HAVE done a remodel, and the rooms look very good since then. They now have wood floors in the rooms, nicer bed linens, flat screen TV's and updated bathrooms. It was definitely a better stay, IN the room. I'm suggesting if you stay here-it really is the cheapest in the area-just don't walk the streets surrounding the motel at night. read more

They don't deserve any stars. This run down dump place reminds me of the Bates Motel. First of all, the room was musty smelling. There were no draws to put your clothing. The cleaning ladies only came twice a week which I thought was nasty to begin with. I would go to the front desk to ask for clean towels and toilet paper and they would say they didn't have any. It was disgusting. When they so called came to clean they didn't even change the sheets. They just fluffed up the pillows and fixed the blanket. The pool was opened past closing hours, people out there drinking beer, laughing loud, during the night. I complained to the front desk, I even called corporate to complain and they both were very dismissive. There was dog poop apparently from a very dog just laying in the grass with flies swarming around. The air conditioner gave way. There is also a door in the room that leads to the door next door with a deadbolt which I don't even know why it's there in the first place. Everytime I came back to the room it looked the party on the otherside was trying to get in. There is a sheriff there every night, prostitutes in front. There were roaches. I would never return there again, I wouldn't even reccomend a bedbug to stay there. read more
