One of the worst place you could ever stay even if it's just for one night!!! My room smell of weed I asked if I could changes room they said no! Even thou I saw couple of empty ones walking towards the the lobby. Worst customer services ever! She was very rude and dismissive, she said that they don't guarantee that the room would be filled with smoked even thought we requested a non-smoking room. It was so bad that Sheets had holes and lining smelled used, like no one had change them. The shower had a mixture of mold and dirt. I sincerely thought going and sleeping in my car more than once, and that would have been a better option than this crap! Ps. It was $140 US dollars the night. Please please don't make the same mistake any other place would be better to stay than this!

Roach on the wall near towel#dead

Got a room here a few nights ago, although it was an expensive room I probably should have just checked in under a bridge (at least that would've been free). The room I originally got before being moved was roach infested, moldy smelling, bathroom door couldn't close, and the furniture look like something salvaged out from a flooded bedroom. Save yourself the trouble and just pay a few bucks extra and get yourself something worth it.

Squished roach! Proof of the pest invasion!

I was traveling with family when we stopped to sleep for the night and found the Motel 6. When we arrived a police car was by the lobby with the siren lights on. We figured whatever happened was being taken care of. Throuh out the entire night the cop drove around the parking lot with his blue lights flashing. It was concerning to see because it showed how unsafe the area must be. The door to our room #213 didnt even lock! The room was not up to any standards of cleanliness! The big problem for us was the ROACHES!!!! I know we are in the south, but that is disgusting and made me want to sleep in the car! I hope the hotel manager reads this and calls the exterminator! Ish! Now I know why they say "We will leave the light on for you." Yeah, to keep the roaches hiding!!!

Wifi so bad.cheap room old.socket behind the ....and that is so heavy

Okay, so let's be honest. This hotel has a long history of being really crappy. I've stayed at it several times over the years because I just didn't have any other options for the price range I was looking for. They seemed to have management that just didn't care. The rooms were outdated, and needed a serious cleaning. To give them the benefit of the doubt, they cannot control the neighborhood this motel is in. It's got some very undesirable people around-with a homeless shelter and 3 strip clubs in the immediate area what do you think it is going to attract? However, they HAVE done a remodel, and the rooms look very good since then. They now have wood floors in the rooms, nicer bed linens, flat screen TV's and updated bathrooms. It was definitely a better stay, IN the room. I'm suggesting if you stay here-it really is the cheapest in the area-just don't walk the streets surrounding the motel at night.

I just left the hotel after spending two nights there for a staycation. I was very pleased with my…read morestay. The hotel is made of two towers. I was in the southern tower room 5509. It is an ocean-view king room. This means the room is on the side of the building but still had a great view of the ocean. You enter valet on the northern side of the building. The valet Matt was quick, friendly and helped with my luggage. Valet is $44 a day. There was a short line at the front desk but there were two employees working and it went quick. The $45 resort fee covers chairs and umbrellas on the beach and two complementary drinks. You can pick from a small list of drinks including beer, g&t and wine. They also offer a morning exercise routine. Monday was yoga by the pool. The room was large with a nice modern design, a small couch and side table and a nice balcony with two chairs and a table. There was a coffee maker and fridge but no microwave. We ordered room service and had breakfast out on the balcony one morning. There were games setup in one of the meeting rooms right outside the pool and free popcorn was offered daily. The pool was large with plenty of chairs but people did save seats early in the morning. I went down at 9am and there were about five seats not claimed and only around eight people at the pool. Everyone else started showing up to their saved chairs around 10am. The pool did get less crowded with fewer children as the day went on. By 3pm there were more open chairs available. The beach is right outside the gate. Along with the chairs and umbrellas there is a sand pit with toys for the kids, a tiki bar and volleyball net. The hotel is very clean with modern decor. It is in a very residential area so there aren't any shops or restaurants around to walk too. Everything is about a mile south near the pier. It was the perfect place for rest and relaxation which is exactly what I was looking for.

The positive: Rooms are beautiful and spacious. The corner king has stunning views of the ocean…read more The remodel brings a very elegant feel. Housekeeping staff are super kind, and anything we needed arrived quickly! The negative: Don't waste your money! We paid $400+ per night (amenities included, valet separate) and found out the hotel sells $45/day passes to non-guests. We had an issue with our room, and the hotel could not move us because it was full. We were told we'd get 2 chairs, access to the private beach, and 2 welcome drinks. No chairs, all 4 days we were there (party of 8). The welcome drinks were gin, non-ach or wine... Service was extremely slow, the pool was overcrowded, and the staff was so cranky/rude that everyone seemed to dislike their job. For a hotel marketed as a remodeled, luxury spa retreat, this was disappointing and not what we paid for. The icing on the cake was waiting 30m+ to valet our car due to the influx of people coming and going, oh, and having to bring our own luggage up and down due to no carts. Spoke with Ricardo about our entire stay, and he just stared at my husband, then proceeded to say, "Well, when you go to Disney on a holiday weekend, it's going to be busy." Sir... when I go to Disney, I know it's going to be crowded because it's DISNEY. You're a Marriott selling $400+ rooms a night and over-crowding your hotel, causing your guests to not enjoy the amenities you're claiming to provide, then when we say we are unhappy, you don't even bother trying to work with us; you looked annoyed. I wish we read the comments before staying because it seems to be a recurring theme.

Hubby got unexpectedly stuck in Pompano Beach for several weeks while there on business, and they have treated him like family from day 1. He is absolutely not easy to please, but they have surpassed expectation and been absolutely wonderful to him. My boys and I went to visit this last weekend, and every single staff member we passed greeted my husband by name with a giant smile and a pleasantly helpful attitude. I think, besides hiring great people, this boils down to the manager of this hotel, who is stellar. He's got a great demeanor, is extremely knowledgeable about his trade and his hotel, and has trained his staff to a level surpassing much more expensive venues. The building, itself, is showing signs of its age, which is not unusual for a seaside place like this. The doors don't always want to open because they stick, the locks are finicky, at best, floors on some of the hallways have peeling paint here and there, and the bathroom leaked from above ours while we were there this weekend. THIS BEING SAID, however, every time we mentioned an issue, the staff was all over getting them fixed asap. They even went out and bought the hubster a coffee maker for the room when he complained that he didn't have one (evidently they aren't typically provided) AND they gave him a second mini fridge for some special meds he has to keep cold. I mean, who does that these days??? Nobody but them! When you are planning to be in the Ft Lauderdale/Pompano Beach area, try this resort-style waterfront hotel. They'll take good care of you and your family, guaranteed.
