Good evening! My name is JoaQimein Martin, and this is my review of Home2 Suites by Hilton in…read morePearl, MS. I stayed at Home2 Suites by Hilton in Pearl, MS, in the Nonsmoking 1 King 1 Bedroom Suite, and it was absolutely perfect. I have nothing against the 1 King Bed Studio Suite, but this suite was spacious and the perfect setting for a very special moment -- I proposed to my fiancée on November 1, 2025. I decorated the room with candles and rose petals, and the atmosphere was stunning, especially at night. Funny enough, while my Aaliyah said "Yes," the TV switched from "Collide" by Tiana Major9 and EARTHGANG to "Blow Your Speakers Out" by Big Time Rush" -- which made me laugh because I was a little embarrassed. Honestly, that moment made the stay even more memorable. Booking through the Hilton Honors app made everything easy. I didn't really have to interact with staff, but checking out was smooth and quick. The front desk associate was friendly, professional, and even addressed me as "Mr. Martin" -- it wasn't necessary, but it made the experience feel extra special. I wish I remembered her name because she truly deserves recognition. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the amenities were convenient. Overall, even though this is my first hotel review, I can confidently say that Home2 Suites by Hilton in Pearl, MS, offers a memorable, comfortable, and special stay. Highly recommended! -- JoaQimein A stay fit for a king.

Ok, this one's a mixed bag, folks. I've stayed at this Homewood Suites over a half-dozen times, so…read moreit felt overdue to finally leave a review. To be fair, Jackson, MS wasn't my destination, it's simply a great midpoint for me to rest when I'm road trippin' between Dallas and Atlanta. The Good: The hotel is relatively new and It's conveniently located near the University of Mississippi Medical Center and VA hospital. A few restaurants are within walking distance, which is a plus. It's also pet-friendly, which is fabulous since my fur babies love a good road trip. Also, the staff is really nice (shoutout to Francine!) The not-so-Good: There's an appearance of clean in the rooms, but not really. On my last stay, I was greeted by couch stains, rusty shower, and some leftover "mystery gunk" in the kitchen sink. It's the second time the TV didn't work, and the fourth time my digital key failed. The entire fridge moved around the kitchen whenever I opened it, LOL. Also, the lobby can get quite loud, since it occasionally turns into a hangout spot for large groups. Know before you go that the surrounding area can feel a bit mixed and while I've never felt unsafe, staying aware is a must. Pet owners, take note: The designated dog areas can get very messy since not everyone picks up after their pets and the hotel doesn't seem to maintain these areas well. If want your pup's paws clean, you'll need to find another spot for walks. Bottom line: When the price is right, this a decent option for an overnight stay. Just know there are some "quirks", and plan accordingly. Happy Stays!

Pleasantly Surprised…read more My stay at this hotel was a pleasant surprise from the moment I booked. I reserved the room through the app as a Gold member, which comes with a few perks, and since I only needed the room for one night, the process was simple and convenient. I arrived around 3:00 PM and was greeted promptly by the front desk. I planned to check in at that time but was told it would be about five more minutes while they finished preparing the room--no problem at all. I decided to head to the conference I was in town for and returned later that evening around 7:30 PM. At that time, there was quite a crowd checking in and only one person working the front desk, which resulted in a short wait. Despite that, the check-in process went smoothly. I was informed that the in-person room rate was higher than what I had booked online; however, as a Gold member, they honored the original price. That genuinely surprised me, as I've never experienced that level of consideration before. Once in the room, there were a few details that kept the stay from being a full five-star experience. Upon entry, there was a noticeable damp, stuffy smell--possibly due to the apartment-style layout. Additionally, a bit more attention to cleaning would have helped: there was a broken fingernail on the floor, hair on the sofa, and a food stain on the dresser. Nothing major, but noticeable, especially since I had been told the room was being cleaned several hours earlier. From that point on, however, everything was excellent. Breakfast the next morning was a standout. While it was standard hotel fare, it was clearly prepared with care and had great flavor. On a cold winter morning, the hot breakfast, along with coffee, tea, juice, muffins, oatmeal, eggs, and a full breakfast bar, was both comforting and impressive. Overall, aside from those few minor issues, I truly enjoyed my stay and would absolutely stay here again. With a bit more attention to detail in room cleaning and additional front desk staffing during peak check-in times, this hotel could easily deliver a consistent five-star experience.

For example the side door our key was not working and they called maintenance to check the battery in the door. The staff were extremely polite to him and he just loved all of their kindness as well as did we. From the moment we checked in until we left we felt very well taken care of and the hotel was room was clean, perfect space for us and our two dogs. Again, amazing staff!!!! We look forward to making this he a regular place to stop now vs our previous location in Jackson. We come through this area about 2-3x a year and we're excited to find a hotel with such pleasant staff and clean premises.

My husband, our little girl dog and I stayed here for a night, as we were just passing through this area. Upon check in, we were waiting for a bit for the employee behind the counter to acknowledge us and check us in. My husband eventually just went up to her and asked if she was available to check us in. She said she was... but not sure why she didn't when we first came in... But anyway, we checked in and got to our room. We stayed in a room with a king size bed. We had a mini fridge (but please note that there is no freezer but there is an ice machine down the hall) and microwave. The bathroom has plenty of counter space but the sink facet was kind of weird. The bed itself was comfortable and the breakfast we had the next morning was good, as it had a good variety of foods (including eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage patties, cold cereals, oatmeal, yogurt, assorted juices, milk, coffee, bread available to make toast, etc). The employee at check out seemed to be friendlier than the employee that checked us in. A few days after we checked out, I was greatly disappointed to see that I was overcharged for a second pet fee. It took a few weeks to get ahold of the manage on the phone and to reverse the transaction. The manager did not apologize and seemed to have blamed me for the overcharged fee (as if it was my fault), saying it is my responsibility to make sure that I am not overcharged (but I don't know how I could have checked when I didn't get a receipt and was told that my credit card was going to be charged $50 for the pet fee... anyone would assume that if you tell the person that they would be charged $50 for a pet fee, that they would be charged $50 and not $100...., especially when we only stayed here for 1 night). If you stay at this place, be sure to double check your receipt (if you get one.... if you book through a third party company like hotels.com you won't get one) and credit card/ bank account to make sure you don't get overcharged for some other charge.

The staff I will say are great and try to help with what they can. The first room I checked into was so hot and filthy, I had to request a room change. Not sure why I was given a handy accessible room with a broken faucet, dirty floors and dirty walls. I know it's been hot lately (78F) but the AC units don't seem to keep up in this building at all. The temps in the rooms barely budge lower and sometimes even creep up! Also power seems to be unreliable as it goes out at least once a day! Building looks a little neglected with lots of hallway lightbulbs not working, and just small issues like paint and cracks on doors. At first glance everything will look fine until you start looking more closely. Breakfast is just your usual complimentary fare of eggs and bacon, bagels, yogurt, juice and coffee. You can make yourself some mini waffles with syrup if that's your preference. I did enjoy the coffee very much. Couldn't access the pool as the room cards don't seem to unlock the gate and staff don't really know why. Wifi is also very spotty at this location as I regularly get disconnected for 30-60 minutes at a time. No water is provided so you'll have to get your own. Showers are nice and large with nice smelling soaps. Unfortunately, no moisturizing lotions but Jackson is fairly humid so you might not need. Beds are large and comfortable with those terrible hotel pillows. It's kind of your no frills residential hotels for a decent price.

He is a legal service dog and I provided the documentation upon check in. She was so rude and literally looks frightened as all hell. Not only did that happen but their "so called" pool was green not crystal blue like they advertise. The rooms were dirty and sheets stunk. All in all this is a horrible representation of Best Western. I would be ashamed to own this property and have such a nasty team. That's all! Management you will be hearing from me. Hope you don't have to stop here in your travels.
