Mossyard is a little bit further from the massive in your face holiday campsite. So glad we turned down the road to Mossyard's working farm - for fifteen quid a night (2 person tent, low season), we got access to a beautiful secluded (ish) beach and a pretty well maintained campsite.
Downside: as the boy raced up to stop me filling up my water bottle - he poiunted out there was a permanently attached hose (bacteria housing) that lay in the waste disposal. Normally waste disposal and drinking water are kept separate, but here it isn't. No Dumfries belly for me!
In addition, the shower block is at the farmhouse - allllll the way past the static caravans and non static ones (who benefit from toilets inside their holiday abodes). For unlucky campers like myself, it's a good trek up the hill, which isn't that appealing at 3am on a rainy windy night.
Overall, I would use Mossyard again, although bring my own water more than theirs. read more
