I am not naming names or departments but customer service can be a bit ermmmm weak?!? I don't know whether its the situation that this country is in at the moment but no one seems happy with their councils and their antics. The staff work hard to get the job done but there are areas that are problematic. Letters being posted wrongly (are these automated systems?) and unemployed people getting no help when they have paid into the tax system. These concerns are everywhere not just in Tameside but to be honest I can't think of anything else to say.

Mossley has a lot of history as it played a massive part in the cotton and wool industry in the early twentieth century. It is great to see what mills are still standing today and stately homes are seeing their history! There is a computer learning centre as well as DVDs, photocopiers and scanners so you have all the equipment you need!

It has been modernised well and looks fabulous and has maintained itself as a resource centre for hundreds of people. It is great for school trips here to get children interested in reading plus they would have a field day with all the different things they could do. I think this is a great place to go if you are looking for local history or old newspapers.
