BEWARE OF THESE GUYS, DO YOUR RESEARCH…read more My experience with Don Golden Bankruptcy Law Firm has been extremely disappointing, primarily because of the lack of communication throughout my case. Going through bankruptcy is already one of the most stressful experiences a person can face. During a time like this, having a law firm that communicates clearly, responds promptly, and keeps you informed is incredibly important. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. Their phone system is frustrating and difficult to navigate, making it unnecessarily hard to reach someone or get answers to important questions. Calls are not returned in a timely manner, and it often feels like you're left wondering what is happening with your case. What made matters even worse was when the attorney handling my case was no longer with the firm. Instead of making the transition smooth and keeping me informed, I felt like the ball was dropped yet again. There was very little communication about who would be handling my case moving forward or what the next steps would be. During such an important legal process, that level of uncertainty is unacceptable. To add to my frustration, during one of my last conversations with the office, I was told that I would be receiving a refund for the inconvenience after the representative spoke with the office manager. That refund never arrived, and I never received any follow-up communication regarding it. It was another example of promises being made without any follow-through. When people hire a bankruptcy law firm, they are trusting that firm to guide them through one of the most difficult financial situations of their lives. Clear communication, accountability, and professionalism should be standard. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of those expectations. I hope the firm takes meaningful steps to improve its communication, phone system, and client service so that future clients do not have to experience the same frustration.

I felt very comfortable. Not once did I feel pressured. Bankruptcy is not easy for me. I was given paperwork to fill out and too list all my open accounts. On the second visit with him I had a list of all my open accounts. Most of them medical. Again we discuss all the fees associated with it and what my options were. I highly recommend Mr. Ford. He is very professional and compassionate. If you are looking to file bankruptcy and its either chapters 7, 11 or 13 I would discuss your options with Mr. Ford before making a decision.

Let me be very clear. Steer clear of this clown-like attorney. That is my opinion. I have quite a…read morestory about this goof. 1) Lawyer charged me $20,000 to take a Corporate BR Case. 2) Ford talked to me maybe 10 minutes before demanding $20,000 retainer. That is a red flag but I had to hire someone that day to meet a deadline. 3) Ford did not explain key details about the process and within 48 hours was talking about "leaving the case" if documents were not provided immediately. His contract, conveniently, allows him to keep the entire fee if he dumps your case. Big red flag. Another attorney of mine said that is a bad indicator about the ethics involved. 4) Lawyer did a terrible job in my opinion, failed in court to get any victories for us before asking to leave the case after almost no time on the case. The firm was rude the entire time. 5) FIRM NEVER RESPONDED TO VIRTUALLY ANY EMAIL SENT TO THEM WHERE A RESPONSE WAS REQUESTED. They only emailed you demands for paperwork, never responded to very important questions. Missed a key hearing. Would not answer emails. Incompetent clowns. 6) A detailed bill was requested by me via email and never provided to me. Instead, they sent it the trustee despite the fact that I paid the legal fees. Ignored my requested entirely. 7) Clowns charged me $15,000 for two brief zoom appearances and virtually no other work. The entire 8 month case was quoted at $20,000, so I'm not sure how they got to $15,000 in about a month. 8) After the clowns asked to leave the case and were off the case, I left detailed negative reviews on Google. 9) The clowns served me with a Cease and Desist at my home days later demanding I take down the bad reviews, which are 100% true. 10) I ignored that demand and posted more review details. 11) Eventually, when the clowns realized I was not concerned with their intimidation efforts, OFFERED ME $5,000 on June 23, 2025 to remove the reviews. 12) When my attorney signaled a willingness to consider that offer and end this conflict, attorney Ford responded that they were not going to pay $5,000 now -- but $2,500. So they cut the offer in half. Clowns. 13) I wasn't interested in the $5,000 -- much less the $2,500 --- so I informed my counsel to ignore them. 14) While I considered the $5,000 to help with my vacation dinner bills in Lanai and Greece, it was easy to decline the goofballs. 15) Now I am dedicated to sharing the tale of the goofball attorney forever and ever through my website www.Donthirebuddyford.com -- and yes we have merch!
