I had to write I little something to thank the people at Mortons Solicitors for providing a truly excellent service. I was summonsed for a criminal driving matter to go to the Magistrates Court. I was told upfront that it was not imprisonable and therefore I would not be eligible for legal aid. I'm a newly trained teacher and couldn't afford the sums that the big firms charge. A friend told me to try Mortons Solicitors who are near to where I live. They were half the price I had been quoted elsewhere and were prepared to agree to pay in installments ahead of the trial. A driving licence is essential for my work as I live 10 miles from where I work in a school in a rural area where there is no public transport. Mortons made the whole court thing as painless as possible. I got 6 penalty points in the end to add to my previous 5. I'm lucky that the court imposed the minimum otherwise I would have lost my licence. Mortons argued that it would be unfair for me to lose my licence over this. Onward and upwards I go. I've used Mortons since I was a teen. I'm now in my early thirties and having spent a great deal of my life in prison for mistakes I made. Mortons have always been very helpful to me and my family when I've been in trouble. They helped me at - Police Stations - Magistrates Courts - Crown Courts Having Mortons helped me at each stage of the criminal law process. They explained what was happening, the procedure, the likely outcome and answered my million and one questions. Funnily enough I said when I got released that my life was now changed and that I wouild never require their assistance again. Too wrong I could have been. I got a summons to court for a driving offence which Mortons are now helping me with. Thanks to Simon (and formerly his Dad Steve) for all the assistance over the years. read more

I am certainly one of the most difficult people in the world to please. I am fastidious and pernickety, which is why I am rarely happy with any service or product I'm provided with. Therefore it was all more surprisingly how pleased i was with how Mortons dealt with my case. I found them to be very open, frank and professional. Simon Morton deserves special mention for how he presented my case at the magistrates court. I felt his charismatic and methodical approach won over the magistrates during the trial. I'm Relieved that the court felt that I had not racially abused anyone. The mere suggestion is an affront to my good character and nature. as a business person it was essential to protect my reputation and therefore I would have hesitation in instructing Simon Morton in future. read more

Didn't have any doubts about instructing Morton's after I got a recommendation from a friend. They didn't let me down. They were gave friendly and honest advice. When I pleaded guilty to the offences they did their best to put forward my extensive mitigation. I got a suspended sentence which I am delighted with.
