My name is Scott Hastings and I'm a mortgage broker with Mortgages by Scott, a division of Arbor Financial, serving Mooresville, Lake Norman, and the greater Charlotte area. I started in the mortgage business in 2003 after a career in Investor Relations. When I bought my first home I talked to banks and brokers and noticed I was treated more like a commodity than a customer. I decided the mortgage process should be a personalized, concierge level service that treats the buyer as an individual rather than a number. My tagline is "Listening is the Key to Good Lending" because every client's situation is different. Self-employed business owners, 1099 earners, and real estate investors have very different needs than W2 employees, and their tax returns rarely tell the whole story. That is the work I specialize in: bank statement loans, DSCR loans, 1099 loans, profit and loss and asset-based loans, and jumbo financing.
Meet the Business Owner: Scott H.
I am a native of Charlotte, North Carolina and attended East Carolina University. I began working in the mortgage industry in 2003 and today run Mortgages by Scott out of Mooresville, NC as a broker with Arbor Financial. I have worked in almost every area of the mortgage industry, and I focus on self-employed borrowers and real estate investors whose tax returns do not tell the whole story. My wife Stacey is a Dressage Trainer in Mooresville, NC. We live in Davidson, have 3 dogs and are avid Crossfitters.
