This avenue has more in common with Wall Street. It is mostly made of office buildings of financial and political orgnaizations. There is some shopping to be found here, but this is a place where you'll mainly see locals in business attire. It is still an impressive looking street with all of the skyscrapers that line it. And one place that really stands out architecturally and is worth a visit is the Sao Paulo Museum of Art. It is only 1.7 miles and I found it plesant to walk to the whole length to experience the sights and sounds of this huge city.

There are easy trails to follow that take you through gardens featuring unusual plants, beautiful lakes filled with water lilies and a water wheel, and a forest trail on raised walkways which allows you to view an unspoiled part of Mata Atlântica. Easy access for pushchairs makes this a great place for the children and the restaurant offers a buffet lunch for a reasonable price. A must visit on any trip to São Paulo, just don't forget the insect repellent.
