Morrisons is the main supermarket in drayton, and is quite big
As you go in, you are first greeted by a huge fruit and veg aisle, with a large selection of fresh flowers and potted plants to chose from. There is then your normal aisles after that, chilled, frozen, and dry.
Our local Morrisons has recently had a re-vamp, and there is now a 'hot food' counter where they sell cooked chickens, pies, sausages, and snacks to eat, but you have to pay for them at the main checkouts.
Next to that is a butcher section, where they do fresh meats cut to how you like, this is handy if you are looking for something which is not in the pre-packed meats section.
Then there is a cooked meats, cheese and cooked snacks section, where they do individual slices of meat, and cheese, and do party snacks likes spring rolls, pork pies, and quiches.
At the top of the shop, there is a large bakery aisle, where you can pick and mix different types of bread products and cakes. They also give you an option of ordering bread and party cakes for special occassions.
There is also an aisle for baby products, and medicine, but this isn't overly big, therefore theres not much of a variety.
At the end of some aisles they offer home ware products, but again the range is limited compared to other supermarkets.
~Checkouts~
In total there are about 20 tills, with two designed for people with baskets only. I mainly go on a weekday morning as i find that it's quieter and there's always a till free, and i find the check out staff are normally sat there with nothing to do. But if i have to go on busier times like evening or week-ends i find you can be queuing for 10-15 minutes at a time and that there is hardly any check-out staff on??
I always get asked if i need any help with packing and the staff always seem so nice and friendly. Each checkout has plenty of room for trolleys and it never feels cramped.
~Extras~
The shop has a little section, cornered off, and this is for the cigarette counter. Here you have chance to do your lottery, they also have a greeting card stand which is quite big and offers a large variety of hallmark cards, balloons, and paper, and a perfume cabinet to.
Here there is also a little sandwich fridge, with offers people ready packed sandwiches, drinks, fresh fruit, pre-packed snacks, which is often used by local office workers etc- you can pay for these at the cigarette counter.
Next to that is a stand for Dvd's,CD'S, and Games, and they offer all the latest releases and also some older ones at cut price's.
Opposite the counter is a wide range of Magazines, children's, womens, mens, hobbies etc, and also a small section of books
~Toilets~
These are located next to the checkouts, there is a men's, and women's which both have two toilets and plenty of room. Next to that is a disabled toilet, and then a baby changing room, all toilets are monitored hourly and are kept really clean.
~Customer service~
This is a little disappointing as it consists of a little stand, at the front of the store, there is never anybody there and you always have to wait until a member of staff notices you, and calls for one of the managers. The quality of service however is good and they will do whatever they can to help you.
The shop as a whole is set out accordingly and everything is easy to find, there is always staff stacking shelves and there to assist you, finding products etc. For a small town supermarket i do think they offer a big range of products read more
