I have been a patient of Dr Fernando for many years being treated for osteoarthritis and…read morefibromyalgia. I always have a short wait to get into the office first for vitals and then to report updates of any new symptoms or allergies to the office clinician. Dr Fernando is always prompt to see me from there. I very much enjoy the Dr's approach to my appointment from the first "how do you feel today? What brings you in?" to the thorough exam and medical recommendations. The Dr is mild-mannered and somewhat hard to read during the exam as I see him concentrating on processing his findings. He is always courteous and fills me in on what he would like for me to do to better help cope with my painful afflictions, be it physical activity, diet, or medication management.. Dr Fernando's staff is pleasant and caring. They always make me feel like an important part of their day. The only negative issue that I have with my experiences is that the exterior and interior of the facility is extremely dated and in dire need of updating to bring itself out of the 1980's. The interior especially could use a complete overhaul to bring it up to what a medical facility should look and feel like. It has always been the only medical office that I have ever been to in the Fort Myers area, and there have been many, many visits over the 40 years I have lived here, that doesn't feel like a medical facility. It feels much more like an old tattered aged building that could improve itself only by tearing it down and starting all over from the ground up. The good news is that the facility appears clean and void of any serious germs. As an added comment today, 9.1.16, Dr Fernando will be retiring from practice in late September 2016. I feel it is with great sorrow that he will be missing from the medical community.

He doesn't mess around! I owe him a huge thank you for helping me get my Hovearound just recently, 12/2021! It took a lot of paperwork and he didn't miss a thing. I've also heard nothing but good things about him from my Pain management drs, my wife's GI Dr, just every other place I visit that asks me for the name of my primary care physician. They always show respect, and that puts me at ease. My wife appreciates his get to it work personality, but she doesn't have too many needs and sees him a few times a year. I visit on a monthly basis. He's a great doctor and I totally recommend him! Dwayne R. Bates

I refused to take it, and went for a PCR covid test the following day. I tested NEGATIVE, which supported a test given to me two times at the hospital emergency room and again when I was admitted. I trusted his judgement and so far have been very satisfied. The last review I gave was quite a few months ago while still in treatment. This is now an update:…read more My last visit to Dr. Chad Luce was in October, 2015 because my hubby and I needed to go up to North Carolina to help family. Thankfully, the 'acute' stage of treatment had just ended at this time, and the 'exercise' stage for strengthening muscles and increasing mobility was to start. Today, keeping Dr. Luce's cautions and instructions in my mind, I continue to NOT lie on my stomach (sigh), and am walking around even better now than this past October!! I'm able to go shopping, to restaurants, and am living a regular life like everyone else...just doing it a little more slowly than most. (I even got talked into going bowling a week ago by family members although I kept my back fairly straight, did not twist my body, used a lighter 8 lb ball, and was happy with simply making "Gutter Ball History". Yes, my back was a little sore and stiff the next day...won't be doing this again any time soon as I don't wish to undo all the work that has gone into getting me to this point of healing. My focus is now on going Miniature Golfing!!) Still doing the exercises but...oops...usually only remember them on 'stiff' days now. While I still cannot stand in one place for more than five or ten minutes at a time without my back feeling the strain (and then having to lean on a counter or sit down), I am able to climb up and down stairs, do laundry (NO heavy lifting!), shower, cook meals, clean, sit for two or three hours at a time at my pc, and walk around for a couple of hours doing food or clothes shopping before having to sit and rest for just a few minutes. Last year at this time I was in tremendous pain...bedridden...crying daily...and needing a cane just to go from the bed to the bathroom 20 steps away. Today I'm getting stronger, and am almost 100% 'back'. I also only use the cane now to hook the outside door of our motor home when we want to keep it open. And I owe it all to Dr. Chad Luce. If you need a chiropractor but are afraid of going to one because you've never been to one, and are fearful about feeling even more pain during treatments, do yourself a favor and go to Dr. Chad Luce. He knows what he's doing, and he's gentle. And I'm saying this as a retired nurse who never believed in chiropractors before. I'm DEFINITELY a believer in Dr. Chad Luce!
