Great museum to bring kids to. Lots to see especially if they are into dinosaurs. On the fourth floor you can see someone working on fossils and my daughter loved being able to see that.

I'm not usually a fan of natural history museums but I did enjoy my visit to Morrill Hall, which is on the campus of the University of Nebraska (Go Big Red?). Large parking lot but you will need to be careful that you're in a proper spot for visiting the museum as the university cops apparently do write tickets. On four levels with rocks and stones, bones and bodies and assorted bits of human (Nebraska) history. Interesting, engaging and definitely worth at least two hours even if you're moving quickly. There is a lot to see, a number of things to touch and a bunch of things to simply experience. The little ones will definitely appreciate it. And for sure, this adult appreciated it too. What a great day for my kiddos! This is a good-sized (as in not overwhelming) museum with tons of stuff for kids to explore. I remember coming here as a kid fondly, and it was great to share with my children. They've made some serious changes since I was a kid, but some things are timeless - like the MASSIVE mammoth bones in the hall of elephants. My kids really liked the newer technology introduced on the top floor - some interactive exhibits where they can utilize microscopes, identify parasites, and actually touch/handle the exhibits which is always a plus for little kids - hands on is best!! It's on the UNL campus, so parking ended up being a bit dicey, but otherwise it was a great way to spend a hot day entertaining the kiddos inside with the AC!

Morrill Hall, and the Nebraska State Museum as a whole, is an incredible resource for families and visitors in Lincoln. My young children love visiting. There is a ton to see, and many interactive displays, especially on the 4th floor. Truly a Nebraskan gem.

What a fun place. Very reasonable admission fee and really neat exhibits. Can't believe I haven't been here sooner. Its very cool to see these fossils up close. Everyone should bring their kids. Not sure its a place to come often but you should at least come once. I didn't get into the planetarium but hope to at another time.

We visited the museum as this was where my son wanted to take us while we toured the campus. Considering his degree is in paleontology, it makes sense. Morrill Hall is a great museum showing off geologic (fossil) records of Nebraska. I loved the mastodon and mammoth exhibits. Those are big creatures. Lots of skeletons and fossils with plenty of cards to let you know what you were looking at. It is amazing to see what roamed the American plains in the recent past. I enjoyed my time there. I would have stayed longer, but rest of the party was ready to move on.

Came here today for the first time since I was a child. Everything was awesome. Good exhibits and a fun time. Staff was nice and restrooms clean. Parking sucked but that's expected on campus. The museum staff even said that if we got a ticket to bring it in and they would take care of it

The staff were all really nice and polite. There were tons of fossils and animals. I loved seeing the wall of bugs and butterflies the most.

Hard to find a parking place close by when it is pouring down raining. So disappointing that we didn't get to go.

Mineral collection is very impressive. Older building. Free to UNL students. One of my favorite ways to spend my day off.

I had not been there until recently, I thought it was just awesome, I imagine kids would love it too, but as an adult I know I did.

There's plenty of good fossil exhibits as well as more modern history, gems/minerals, and a planetarium.

Anazingly, the ancestors of almost every single one of them used to live in Nebraska! Part zoo (dead animals plus present day ones) part awesome, dinosaur stuffed natural history museum, this is the most overwhelming museum I've been to so far in my quest to hit as many dinosaur museums in the American west as I can. The history of the state is packed with lots of displays besides just the ones I seek out; This is absolutely a world class museum, for the measly entrance fee of $8. Make sure ypu buy your tickets ahead of time, online. I didnt realize this, but they let me in anyway. I think they are called 'timed tickets' or something, there is not a word about this on Google maps, so now you know. It is spacious enough, with 4 floors and dozens of large exhibits on each floor, that you can easily avoid absolutely every single screaming kid and massive family group also roaming the exhibits. A detailed Charles Darwin section is the most complete one I've seen, covering his entire life, as well as his discoveries. The gift shop is full of interesting little trinkets for not very much money as well. All in all, a museum definitely worth the trip!

We could've stayed here all day! The employees are friendly. I love how the play structures are Nebraska themed. And I really loved how they play Disney music on the speakers! The only thing I would critique is the parking. The museum itself is close to UNL, the university campus. Making it hard to park. There is meter parking available however there's also a ton of construction, making it easy to get lost if it's your first time visiting. Other than that -- we had a fabulous experience. I think getting a membership is worth it.

Bryan Hospital and the Lincoln Fire Department sponsor a fire truck experience in minature and health care activities. There are legos, an airplane, construction equipment and even a wooden apple tree with "apples" that fall from the tree. The prairie dog town and animal identification stations are fun too. There's a cafe of sorts that was closed when we went. The only real downside I saw was it wasn't as clean as I would expect. For example, there were cookie leftovers in the fire truck. Since we got there right at 9:00 when they opened, it seems unlikely that this was new. Someone should do a complete walkthrough before they open to make sure it's clean.
