This is a proper pub with rotating ales from different breweries around the country. These great drops are usurped by the amazing food that comes out of the kitchen, these are made by their mum or sister and range from pies, suet puddings to the Sunday roast. The suet puddings and pies cover some interesting flavours, the Christmas one containing ham, chicken and turkey was especially good.
There is a good beer garden out the back, just don't let your kids damage the fence with a soccer ball and the Publican will be happy enough!
In winter there is a fire and the parking is generally good. It's an odd location nestled between the river and a petrol station but definitely worth a visit. read more
