Sean answered all my questions and explained everything in language I understood. Second visit with Kathryn Martin in the Roslindale office was just as enjoyable and very helpful in explaining even more and answered my concerns. The last visit for the signing was incredible. But again Kathryn explained the HUGE binder tab by tab. I left feeling very comfortable that everything was in order. Also huge thanks to Isabella Davis who is very organized and follow-ups with reminders for visit, Frannie Kennedy-Long for handling the drafts and making edits. And of course thanks to Chris Newton and Thalia Puccini. Incredible firm and I highly recommend them!

Andrea Goldman helped us out at a very stressful moment in our dispute with our contractor. I…read morefound her by reading her blog and reached out to her via email. We'd had a really difficult contractor who had been verbally abusive, messy, and didn't finish our renovation in time for us to move into our house....and then abandoned the job. My wife and I had just bought our first home and decided to gut-rehab kitchen & bath, doing a bunch of the work ourselves. We were worried about getting our end done - we should've worried about the contractor who didn't pay subs (who refused to finish work), left big chunks of work until the DAY before we moved in, (on a 10 week project), was unlicensed, verbally abusive and tried to extort extra money from us. In the end, we just wanted him gone, but were worried about legal repercussions of firing him without paying him everything in the contract. Ms Goldman's website helped me learn a lot about the legal aspects I needed to consider, and she even took time to speak to me on the phone, listen to my situation, let me know I probably didn't need to hire a lawyer for the amount of money involved, and even helped come up with a carefully-worded email letting this guy know we were through with him. Ms Goldman is incredibly generous to share her time and knowledge with the general public on her blog. In our case, it made a huge difference. After feeling so out of my depth with a contractor who clearly knew the system and how to manipulate it, I felt like I had someone with real expertise on these conflicts on my side. At the end of the day, without having to pay hundreds of dollars in legal fees or go to court, we simply sent out our "goodbye" email and never heard from the guy again - hooray! Thanks, Andrea, for working with us - I will surely bring all future contracts to your office for review before embarking on something like this again!

Initially, I spoke with Attorney Christopher Sullivan, who immediately referred me to Attorney Kassandra (Kassie) Tat. Kassie and her assistant Christina Servideo, were extremely kind, made sure we understood every step of the process and checked in with both the seller and ourselves regularly. Initially we were told that acquiring the title information could take 2 or more weeks, however this law office was able to make this happen within about a week. Following the closing, we were on record and everything was official in under 2 hours. The closing was a wonderful experience as well. My problems with a terrible landlord had remained unresolved for nearly 3 years until I finally…read moredecided to look for professional help, and I had a great head start in my search for the right lawyer through the word of mouth since multiple people I knew and trust had nothing but positive things to say about Mr. Ayr. It turns out, not only I found the right lawyer: I found the perfect lawyer! You might be asking: "Why do you say that?".. Because not only he is extremely effective, time efficient and organized - which will save you a ton of money - but also is very down to earth, realistic and has something else I've never seen in any lawyer: the cool factor. When I say cool, I mean the invaluable ability to remain calm, centered, so balanced in every situation that it's almost Zen. Remember all the bad things we all grew up listening about lawyers? You will soon realize that Mr. Ayr is the perfect antagonist of all that, and I'm not just saying that, I will elaborate and give you my personal experience as an example: My landlord years of serious violations and illegal acts were so bad that, if we decided to bring the full case to court, he could easily go bankrupt and the house would go up to foreclosure, and bear in mind, I had the Boston Housing Court and Boston Housing Inspection Services with me in this case. Needless to say, had we gone ahead and sue it, serious compensation would come my way and my lawyers. Yet, when I decided to "let go" and give the landlord a chance to settle for the security deposit legally owned to me plus my financial damages along the way , Mr. Ayr fully supported me and quickly started and finished all the documentation and negotiations with the landlord, who completely changed from the very aggressive tone to a fast paced resolution. I was in awe. I would give Mr Ayr a 6 star review if it was possible.
