Morgiewicz needs to be commended for hauling all the fresh produce to my neighborhood. Their stand is located across the street from my apartment every Friday. The neighborhood has many many public housing residents. I find the elderly frequently shopping here. The employees speak English and Spanish. I can't compare their prices with other vendors because sometimes I don't see items priced.
I do know the customers congregate around the other vendor and I often wonder why. Morgiewicz might be new to the hood.
I'll keep checking out the produce if they keep coming to Harvest Home Farmers Market. read more
The employee at the Fort Washington market stand has anger issues and should not work for Morgiewicz. It was 3:45 pm on Tuesday and I just wanted to buy some green beans to feed my child. I asked for a bag and he ignored me. I went to get a bag. Then he took the beans away. When I asked him where the beans were, he slammed the tomatoes he had in his hand down on the table so hard I thought the table would crack.
I thought the market closes at 4 pm. I guess he didn't care if the beans rotted in his employer's truck instead of selling them.
I went down to the vegetable stand near the 175 st bus depot where the guy had green beans for $2 a pound. Half the price of Morgiewicz. read more
