I just can't say enough good things about my experience. The staff are all very caring, upbeat and have a passion for helping others. It was originally planned for me to do in patient rehabilitation for 1 to 2 weeks post surgery. However, with the help of ALL staff I will be leaving tomorrow with the complete ability to handle all things when I go home. The rooms are huge and very luxurious, the PT room as wonderful with state of the art equipment, the food is outstanding and so much more.

It is with sorrow that I am reporting our horrific experience with Madison's new hospital. One week…read moreago, my husband was alone at home cleaning up after a storm. He was fifteen feet up on a ladder trimming a tree when a branch came down, hit him in the head, and swiped him off the ladder onto a pile of logs. He lay there for twenty minutes before he had enough breath to get to our house. He knew he needed to call 911, but we live on a gated property, and he knew they couldn't get in. He drove to the gate to open it with the intention of then calling them. He then decided that since he was that far, he should drive to Morgan Memorial. He arrived, went in with a bloody head, labored breathing, barely able to talk, and dragging his leg. He was handed a stack of papers and told to fill them out. He told her that he didn't know how badly he was hurt, but that he thought pretty badly. She told him someone had to fill out the papers. My husband told her that he was unable to do it and that if he had to fill out papers, he would just have to leave. She did nothing to reach out or help him in any way, just watched him walk out. He returned to our home, fell into bed, and was found by our daughter in terrible condition and incoherent. She rushed him to Good Samaritan at Lake Oconee. He was taken back immediately, assessed as having eight broken ribs, two crushed, and a collapsed lung. A chest tube was put in, and he was transported to Athens Regional and put in the trauma unit. He stayed for a week, with several other serious injuries uncovered there, including a bruised spleen, a hematoma in his stomach, and a blocked kidney from the impact. It is shocking that there wasn't a more astute and urgent response from this emergency room. I shudder to think that anyone would be dismissed as my husband was, especially when he told her outright that he believed he was grievously injured. To allow him to leave in his condition is shameful. The thought of what might have happened to him as a result of this action is horrifying. To add insult to injury, I called and left a message requesting the hospital's administrator to call me to discuss our experience there. I have yet to hear from her.

THIS HOSPITAL IS DANGEROUS: RUN FOR YOUR LIFE PLEASE…read more This is what happened to me at Morgan memorial hospital on 3-13-19: I was recommended by my primary care physician (who happened to be on the hospital board) for PT, and this physical therapist guy almost killed me one day. This PT. Asked me to lay on the Treatment table and I look up and saw him holding a 'rolling chair' over my head; I said please don't hurt me. I blacked out and when I regained consciousness, I asked what happened. This pt. guy said to me 'I placed the rolling chair down and picked up a 'rolling hospital grade Blood pressure machine', and he dropped the medal base on my face and head. He left me alone in the dark room with zero supervision to go get his supervisor because he didn't know how to call in emergency code* at a hospital or get clinical care for me. The emergency room was a few feet away from the PT rehab Treatment room he worked at. He left me "alone". I had to beg to be taking to ER. This physical therapist is 'extremely dangerous and the traveling company he worked or still working for'. He shouldn't be lifting any machines over my head. I hope this never happens to anyone ever again. In fact, immediately after getting out the emergency room I asked the outpatient director for this report and she refused; she told me to talk to the risk manager who conveniently disappeared for lunch. I have email messages from the risk manager and recordings of her stating this negligent act occurred. My question is how can something like this happened to any patients and the regulatory institutions allows the hospital to get a way with this, hiding behind the so called "peer review". I have yet to get a resolution and frustrated with a very non-transparent system putting patients lives at risk. Hospitals are hiring third party contractors and getting away with safety concerns. Patients like myself really aren't aware of who is really treating them when they walk into a hospital. Eventually a patient gets hurt, you're in the dark fighting the hospital's army of lawyers. Where are the regulations that's supposed to keep us safe? I traumatized and hurt; I need this hospital to be investigated for their failures.

They have been hounding me for 2 years. For bills that were paid in 2024. It doesn't matter that I send receipts. It doesn't matter that I sense bank statements. It doesn't matter that I send the statements from my f.S a. They will refuse to contact the providers themselves to see if they have been paid. They will continue to hound you and offer you payment schedules for money you don't owe. Now let's talk about providers. I saw three different gastroenterologists for the horrible issues I was having. They just kept saying that I needed to have a colonoscopy , and that everything would be fine then, it wasn't. They insisted I pay them $1000 up front, then tried to double charge me. The doctor at the local clinic told me to "take Metamucil " for my explosive and unpredictable diarrhea. He asked me nothing about my diet. Nor did the gastroenterologist that I saw. After dealing with this for a year and going from doctor to doctor within the Northeast Georgia system, I finally went to a chiropractor in county who accurately diagnosed me with a ilioecal valve that was not functioning properly. I haven't had a problem since. Avoid all these quacks at all costs. They are still hounding me 48 hundred dollars that I don't owe them.
