They took a case for me several years ago and I'd expect not to be told every little move they make in the case , but they only called me one time to consolidate a case I was lead plaintiff in that case and when I did agree to consolidate it I was the first person to get this started and I said the only way I'd do that is is if my name was first, but instead they used the other person name first... I wish I had done more research on lawyers. By the time M&M takes their 40%, I'll be lucky to have enough to pay my hospital bills. I can understand paying the percentage on anything over your out the of pocket bills but to charge 40% on your bills, I think is terrible. I also have called my lawyer several times to get clarification and he seems to be too busy to answer my calls (I'm assuming because Im not a huge case for him. I wish I could rate 0 stars. This law firm sits back and does nothing but collect part of your settlement. Never once spoke to the actual lawyer. The paralegal was impossible to get ahold of. This firm is a JOKE. You are 10000000% better off representing yourself. We've been dealing with them for over a year. They did not do one single thing we couldn't have done ourselves. And if it was more than sending an email they couldn't be bothered with it. But they get a big cut of the settlement. Don't do it. Represent yourself. 24/7! Awesome! 400 ATTORNEY's! Awesome! In MULTIPLE States! Awesome! "For The People" Advertisement... PUFFERY!!! A more accurate advertisement would be "For SOME of THE PEOPLE!" This is of course if this "MILL" doesn't feel that they have to do much work , that the money is a "quick hit" and that they can make their Advertisement Budget! In KY and FL, actually most states that I have searched , State Bar Association/Supreme Court Rules of Conduct ... ATTORNEY's have a Duty to Diligence. In ALL honesty, my Wife and I had / have a very convoluted case. Unfortunately, Morgan and Morgan heard "low payout", questions on coverage and bailed out, leaving us in the lurch, not knowing what direction to turn. I mean heck, they advertised in the State the accident happened, they advertised in the State that we reside. If they had only done THEIR duty as Attorneys, they would have found out the "facts , details and coverages" available to us at this point. Again, as I stated Morgan and Morgan "Attorneys for SOME of the PEOPLE ". Basically, let the "buyer" beware folks! Just because they can afford huge billboards and 24/7 TV commercials doesn't mean they are the "BEST" Attorneys or the FIRM for YOU! I was never notified and thought this is taking so long let me contact them...at that point was when they told me they had sent me the wrong forms. My four year old daughter and I were in a car accident at the onset of covid 19. While the outcome of the lawsuit was not what we had hoped for due to covid shutting down all Dr. offices etc. We decided to settle. Even though the injuries were not really resolved. Mr. Michael Howard and his assistant Julie handled our case and done it well in the beginning of things. once settled there were many fees that we were not told of in the start. The big thing that bothered us was the fact that they put a ten day hold on our funds, knowing that the funds were good. They put the funds in their own escrow accounts so they can make even more money off of us. As if they don't make enough from all their fees and their hidden fees. Mr. Howard was suppose to tell his assistant that we were gonna be coming to Lexington to get our pay out check. Once we got there, the assistant had already mailed the check out. We ended up getting it a couple days later but still had to go all the way back to Lexington to have the check cashed. It seemed there was little to no communication between Mr. Howard and his assistant. Miscommunications happened several times during our case with them. They also at the last minute hit us with a $300.00 hold on each check 60-90 day hold. Stating that this was for any unknown bills that may come through.? My daughter and I havent seen a Dr over this accident in over a year. The liklihood of that is slim to none. I would not suggest Morgan and Morgan to anyone. Please do your research before hiring this firm. Also, My check was actually kept for 14 days and my daughters has been in their escrow account for 16 days right now and NO ONE has contacted us to let us know when or how we will be receiving it. I called Morgan and Morgan after my husband car accident. They agreed to take the case, but after more than a year we know nothing. I have called them several times and they tell me they'll have the person who is handling my husband's case call me back (I handle most of my husband's phone calls because he is hard of hearing.) And, of course this never happens, we never hear from them so we don't know if we are going to get his hospital, doctor, and physical therapy bills paid or not. Morgan and Morgan took my car accident case when It was initially just a small case. We thought I only had minor injuries. After an mri I found out I had 2 severely herniated discs that were pressing into my spinal column and I required immediate surgery to place plates and screws, to take the pressure off of my nerves. My case manager Darian Johnson constantly stayed in touch and returned every phone call within an hour. she even texted me to wish me luck the day of surgery and checked on me after. They do not have rating of 0 star, otherwise I would give that rating. Morgan & Morgan is most irresponsible law firm I have ever heard about. My claim number was 17-422H371. They took my Snow slip and fall case. They told me to go to only one physician and one chiropractor. I followed same. I have bad backbone. I have a lot of pain and could not work for last 10 months. Morgan & Morgan dropped my case without informing me that is quite UNPROFESSIONAL behavior. They are so unprofessional that insurance company contacted them several times to send documents but they never responded. Height of their unprofessional behavior is indicated by the fact that they have dropped my case after 10 months and legally I cannot file my case after 12 months. It means practically I have only two months to file the case. I would recommend people to go to some smaller Law firm that cares for your case as these bunch of crooks have left me at place where I do not even have sufficient time to find another lawyer and file the case. These are by far the best Lawyers in the state. I was being lazy and not wanting to do what I was supposed to when I wrote my first review and have nobody to blame but myself. But once I managed to stop and actually get up and do my part everyone in that office was there for me and helped me. I know you see all the commercials and think they are just some big lawyer who only want Money, money money, and honestly I thought that too, but the turned tmout to be the complete opposite. Every single time I had a question Natalie would get back to me within hours, if not quicker.. I won't go into details but they actually got me more then what they originally thought they would and even without the money they made me feel extremely comfortable talking to them, they showed me that I wasn't trash for having a lawsuit against someone, they even taught me a few things about law lol. Terrible customer service.. never return calls!! Had a supposed court date in July; drove to Frankfort (a 2 hour drive for me) Found out when I got the the courthouse my hearing was cancelled!! These lawyers knew it was cancelled yet never bothered to call their client!!! I have heard nothing from them in 3 months despite multiple phone calls and messages!! They are just money hungry and don't care about their clients..
