All the produce was BEAUTIFUL and, as later determined, very, very tasty. We also liked the little informational signs telling us key facts about each item -- not only price but also harvesting season, common uses, and so on. They also had a small selection of raw meat, eggs, and dairy, and some jellies, candies, and things like that. A most impressive spread. I have to say I felt a little like we were interrupting the cashiers' gossip session as we checked out, which is never a good feeling even when it's true (as this place is kind of off the beaten path and isn't Bauman Orchards' main storefront), but they were friendly once we had their attention. I'd like to come back sometime later in the fall and pick my own apples! I'm sure it's busier then, and the orchards we drove through to get to/from the road were well-tended and appealingly fruited.

We were joined by a group of family and friends and everyone enjoyed the food from the mac & cheese to the jerk chicken to the fried fish bowl and falafel. If I'm ever back in town, I will definitely stop by. Well, in the shop, I did a little bit of shopping as well and picked up a very cute leaf pottery. I love how it natural it looks, but then it will also match the other leaf pieces I already have. The store has a wide a food on the shelf or in the fridge section plus really pretty crochet, pottery, jewelry, and other items. The store has something for everyone. Finally, we enjoyed the coffee shop which had really delicious lemonades and a number of people in our party also had coffee drink drinks. When back in Wooster this summer for my niece's graduation, I'll be sure to stop in especially if it's a Friday or Saturday for Big D's Soul BQ.

Lots of choices and options for every type of gardener! The farmer market part with fruits and veggies was ok. It's small. Local products. You can find something if you need it but it was not very extensive. The makers market was 6 tables. Not very big but it's early in the season. Not much I was really interested in. They also had a food truck which was very popular. All in all we spent a good hour or more there, buying plants and walking around. It was very enjoyable. We will go back. The plants are amazing. Yesterday we saw at a farmer market 12 for $7. So a bit more. They have a complete industry going in summer and fall. Lots of pumpkins. Prices for a good size pumpkin is around $16. Kinda high. Good size though. They have a corn maze and such. Corn maze is not free. They have hot dogs, ice cream and corn on the cob to eat. They have glider picnic tables arranged around. It's very family friendly. But after 30 mins you can spend $60 easy. They sell bread and bakery from local places. Loaf of fresh bread is around $7. Inside they have a ton of different fruits and veggies as well as jams and Amish treats. Fruits and veggies can be pricey. We got some lettuce, 3 tomatoes, 2 potatoes, green beans, 1 onion, bread, cost us $41. We could have gotten more but that was enough to spend. Bottom line. Good quality. Good selection. But you're going to pay for it. We like Szalays and will go back. Just be aware of what you can afford.
