There was only a hint of sweet potato and hardly any cheese cake. The icing was good; they only gave a dollop. I wanted cinnamon rolls, but they were sold out. They make cinnamon rolls made on Wednesdays. I came back today, 4th October, when they first opened looking forward to tasting them, but they did not have them. I was told they may have them in the afternoon but call. I got busy and never called to check. Overall, I wasn't impressed. I will go back to try the peach cobbler. I would've written this sooner, but my mother didn't get to attend her own party due to an injury she suffered two days prior to her own party. The catering company handled this incident with care and provided us with terrific service. The event took place at an independent care facility, and all the other residents still got to attend my mothers birthday party. They had a great time. I was looking for outdoor green space in Philly for my wedding and came across Ridgeland Mansion…read more My fiancé and I met with Jen Alvarado, co-owner of Joshua Catering, and exclusive caterer of Ridgeland Mansion to tour the grounds. The spot was a perfect getaway from downtown Philly, yet close enough to Lyft. The mansion itself had separate rooms for the bridal party & groomsmen to get ready. We had the ceremony outdoors in the tree covered grove in October and it was perfect weather. The outdoor space was a great backdrop for photos and cocktail hour. The reception was tented for dinner/dancing of 150 guests and had 2 bars set up with an outdoor firepit. The premise also had a separate 'barn' that accommodated our afterparty for late night. We chose this venue because it had space for all of the events without having to travel. As an added bonus, 100% of the venue fee went straight to the Cancer Support Center as a donation. Jen and her team were great! She was very responsive and answered all of our questions, was easy to get along with, and had great suggestions for how to use the site since she's so experienced hosting weddings there. The food was fantastic--including several vegetarian options--and many of our guests commented on how delicious it was. Jen's team took care of every detail so that we could focus on enjoying time with our guests. We couldn't have done it without her and highly recommend hiring her for your wedding!
