I spent 3 nights in the hotel of this facility with my wife and daughter (4), so this review focuses on that.
The facility is situated in a beautiful area with woods and a lake, at the outside of the small town Mora. Apart from the hotel the facility also offers some stugas (cabins) and a campsite. There's also a bowling and a restaurant (limited opening times). In front of the hotel is a parking spot with enough room. There's electricity to connect a parking heating to your car. The parking is close to the hotel, so luggage is no problem.
In the morning there's a breakfast buffet that is delicious. Lots of choice in bread, exotic fruit, juices, eggs and of course tea, milk and coffee.
The room is a bit small, but still OK. Furniture is not old 'garbage', standard hotel equipment. There's a small desk and a tv. Bathroom is small but OK. There's lots of wall outlets, making it easy to charge e.g your phone, tablet or toothbrush. The box spring beds are very good and even with my length above Swedish average I perfectly fitted in the bed. The hotel is child-friendly, e.g. Shown by child seats, napkins and plastic cups in the breakfast hall.
I first thought of giving this review 4 stars, but there's a downside also. When I cleaned some water that we spoiled on the floor, it turned out that the floor was very dirty. The cleaning paper was fully black in a second! I would almost say the street outside is cleaner! Also, the cleaning staff just skipped our room the first day, so no clean towels, no clear sheets, stuffed (small) trashcan, not to talk about the dirty floor... Since we paid about 2700 SEK for 3 nights, I really expect more value.
To summarize the hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings. The family hotel itself is very good, but the cleaning really needs improvement! read more
