If you're in St. John, and you enjoy a bevvy, there are lots of options. Moosehead, in my opinion, is a must visit. The tour is a great experience. The staff is friendly and the samples are unending. Their taproom is fantastic, with lots of small batch beers that you can only try there. The tour is engaging, and you get a close up look at their equipment, their production and canning lines, and the corporate offices. I enjoyed hearing the history of Moosehead's woman-founded business curation way back in the late 1800's - along with the resilience of the business in the face of much strife and tragedy over the years. Moosehead holds the accolade of Canada's oldest privately owned brewery and is still a family owned operation. The grapefruit radler was a huge hit. This is a good beer for the non-beer drinkers because it's juicy, tart, and refreshing. You end the tour in bar, but you don't need to do the tour to pull up and have a pint. There is a plethora of indoor and outdoor seating, and they seem to host the occassional fun event at the brewery. It might look like a big operation, but the service and beers are top notch. Local or tourist alike, definitely worth a visit. Note that St. John is a cruise port - so if you want to do a tour, book ahead! Until next time, St. Johnny! read more

Great experience and service. Only Moosehead tap room in North America. A bunch of unique beers. Not huge spot but recommend bellying up to the bar. My wife loved the 4 different radlers. read more

Grab a chair on the sidewalk patio, along the shaded entranceway or right in front of the bar and be prepared to try some interesting brews! The bartenders are friendly and helpful, explaining the up and coming new experiments or recommending old favorites. You can try things here that may never make it to the general market! I would highly recommend getting a flight so that you can try as much as possible. My personal favorite while here was the strawberry rubarb IPA, although there were many unique brews to try out - Peppermint IPA made of fuggle hops anyone? They switch the taps out for new brews, so keep an open mind about it! read more

All beer lovers, definitely worth the visit! I love Moosehead and visiting the brewery was quite the experience. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, great atmosphere and brewery is incredible! Worth a visit. Small interior seating but definitely worth the stop. Keep in mind it's a mass produced beer company but they do make a nice "small batch" choice pending the season. The strawberry rhubarb milkshake ipa was good. Not the best but worth bringing a few back. read more
