We were in Englewood and decided to stop and have lunch with our dog at the Moose Lodge. We had been there many times before. all of the folks, and staff were very friendly. We sat on the patio. Our server loved our dog. She was very friendly and helped my wife with the menu. I knew exactly what I wanted. The blackened fish salad. It is absolutely delicious. My wife got a bowl of chili, which was so big she couldn't eat it all so I ate about half of it for her. The dues we pay to be a moose member is well worth it. the quality of the food the value of the food and drinks and the service is just outstanding. 6 of us waited 2 hours to order food last night. The restaurant was not busy. We were completely ignored by the waitress. Asked another waitress if we could place an order... she said she would come over to us... she never did. We finally left and went to a restaurant. Totally unacceptable. hit it on a spur of the moment and was presently surprised. My card wouldn't work but bell did and attendant answered .It was a Thursday night bingo jammed but secured seat at bar. Kitchen was only open another 15 min but had a typical guy dinner, an old draft and order of onion rings. Both were just like I like it cold,and hot. Passed the test. read more

I have visited a number of local lodges, but the Venice lodge is by far the best. Not all lodges have dance bands, and a dance floor like the Venice Lodge. Many moose lodges are great places to eat and socialize. I'm not sure if this is from 1933, or 2554. The first one has a great menu and has great drink prices. But the social atmosphere and three cliquish. The second one lodge 2554 lost its kitchen in Enon, but it's much more friendly. Everybody knows you and introduced you and greets you and it's a great lodge. And the prices are great also. read more

Very disappointed tonight at Bingo. We bought our cards and set at bar. Then we were told from other patrons that we could no longer play bingo at bar. Took 37 minutes to get dinner then woofed it down. You can't find seats cause people are spread out to play several cards. We got seat in back room. The fan blocked part of the bingo screen. Not happy!! Spotted empty table outside room. Much better. I do not remember getting email stating the change. I guess it is better for us we won't spend as much money at bar. read more

The best food for the price hands down on the island. Suzie and Wendy behind the bar and Zack and company rocking the kitchen. I've never had a bad meal,snack,or drink! And I know if you were not happy they would take care of you. So I'm not sure why you wouldn't choose to buy a membership, support local charities, and kids at Mooseheart to enjoy this experience! Actually the annual membership is worth getting Ernie's emails on a daily basis to let you know the goings on.
