Dr. Jodi Kefer (who is without a doubt a 5 star) came highly recommended and before our daughter was even born we were able to make an appointment to meet her and see the office which as first time parents we greatly appreciated. Mamas, if your on the hunt for a pediatrician, call here! You won't be disappointed! Dr Kefer has been primarily our doctor and she is so fantastic!! She's no nonsense yet really wonderful and somewhat silly with the kiddos. She won't jump to prescription unless completely necessary which I firmly agree with. She's kind and gives all around fantastic advice about everything! She's a mom, a fellow city dweller, and she just gets it! When our youngest was "failure to thrive" and we needed to come weekly for weight checks, Dr Kefer was amazing! She kept us feeling positive and gave me some helpful advice regarding nursing. Dr Kefer has always been the one to call me back whenever we needed after-hours care. She never seemed bothered and always knew exactly what to do and also equally as important, what to say to a nervous parent. I would love to be able to see her each time we visit, but it's just not doable as she, just like the majority of the doctors bounce back and forth between both offices. Recently we have seen Dr Harmelin who was hip and fantastic also. She took awhile with our girls and gave them complete, uninterrupted attention. She even explained in detail puberty to my oldest who will be approaching that time period in the next few years. Eeeeekkkk! (Hopefully later than sooner). We have also seen Dr Van Nguyen who is a bit more soft spoken, but on top of things and trusted. I definitely prefer coming to the Queen Village office, but for awhile when we had different insurance were assigned to visit the 5th & Reed South Philly location. Not sure which insurances are excepted where. You must call to find out where you're able to go, but have no fear, you'll see the same doctors! It's a smaller office and street parking is always available. It's a bonus that Famous 4th Street is just down the street. Those matzoh balls always make my girls feel better when we have a sick visit, and I'm not too proud to bribe the kids with their famous cookies either when they need shots. I love that when prescriptions are needed they already have our pharmacy on file and send it electronically. Makes busy mommas lives a lot easier having to just make one stop versus dropping it off and having to return again to pick up! Much appreciated especially with sick kiddos in tow! I also love that all file information is tracked on a laptop as the appointment is taking place. Not only is this greener, but reassuring to know nothing will ever be forgotten. They are all very thorough with their notes! Double check hours. They take a lunch bread mid-afternoon, between 1-2 I believe. So happy here!

This team has made a significant difference in helping us navigate parenthood with confidence. The location is ideal, and what stands out most is how well the practice combines a warm, family-oriented atmosphere with the capabilities of a larger institution. The systems, communication, and overall expertise provide real peace of mind, especially in a fast-paced, modern environment. We regularly see Dr. DiBardino and Dr. Barkan, both of whom have been excellent. However, every provider we've met has been thoughtful, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring. Whether it's routine check-ups or last-minute needs when a child is sick, the team remains consistently responsive and accommodating. They've also been incredibly helpful with administrative tasks, including daycare forms and other requests that naturally arise with young children. Support is always prompt, and guidance feels practical, measured, and never overbearing. Billing has also been fair and transparent, which we sincerely appreciate. One other point worth mentioning: some of the criticisms in other reviews seem unrealistic. This is clearly a high-volume, high-functioning practice serving many families, and that requires efficiency and decisiveness from the front desk and support staff. Any occasional shortfall should be viewed in that context. From our perspective, the practice operates with professionalism, urgency, and competence, which is a big part of why it's so effective. It's hard to imagine a better pediatric experience. Their additional locations in Fishtown and Bala Cynwyd only add to the convenience and flexibility. That said Dr Berger has cared for my daughter since her birth 12 years ago. He is a model of a physician, as is the entire practice. It is superbly responsive. In this instance (which causes me to post reviews), Dr Berger called on a holiday to inquire about my daughter. But he has always been like that. He is extremely knowledgeable, and he has excellent bedside manner with both my child and her parents. He really sets the standard.

Because of medical neglect I faced from Vicky and Frances, I had a TUMOR in my knee go undiagnosed for five months. This was also after eight months of being on their waitlist. I was in so much pain, I was advocating for myself repeatedly, BEGGING over portal messages and voicemails for them to order me imaging for my knee, and was repeatedly left waiting for weeks on end only to be told no and that I needed to get physical therapy before I would be approved for an MRI. I finally was fed up as it got to the point I was in so much pain I couldn't walk, my knee was hot to the touch, and so swollen that I couldn't see my knee cap. I went to the ER and they said I would have to go to a sports med doc. I got a SAME DAY appointment with one (Dr. Adam Lyons at Still Medical Group was AMAZING). He called my insurance himself and got me an approved MRI the NEXT DAY!!!! Took five minutes. After my results came back and showed a tumor (not the ACL tear I thought it was) my sports med doc and both surgeons who ended up operating on me said if I had followed Frances' advice and done PT first I would have damaged my knee so intensely it may not have been repairable. Thankfully it was, but I am still dealing with ongoing chronic pain now as a result of how invasive the tumor was and how it completely took over my knee. Multiple times we were all emailed about how Vicky needed to take time off to focus on her health as she's recovering from long covid and to give her and Frances grace. I would have loved to...but then she would post photos on social media UNMASKED at crowded events. You're going to advertise yourself as a covid cautious practice, serve mostly immunocompromised and disabled folks, fuck off from providing them care, ask for patience and understanding because you have long covid... AND THEN NOT TAKE COVID PRECAUTIONS??? fucking INSANE. When I asked for a refund for the five months I waited for answers and appointments with NO help, I was given two months of a refund and never responded to again. No apology. No accountability. Her patience, calm presence, compassion, and genuine care immediately shifted the energy of what had been a very difficult day. She took the time to get me situated, listened with kindness, and made me feel seen as a person -- not just another patient checking in. In healthcare, those moments matter more than people realize, and Stephanie's professionalism and warmth truly stood out. I've been trying to get a simple form filled out for my employment onboarding and after nearly a month of calling and messaging nearly every day, I still haven't received it. Despite repeatedly explaining that this form is required for me to begin work, every time I call I'm told they'll "send a message" to the person responsible. Nothing ever happens after that, absolutely no updates, no follow-through, and no sense of consideration. As someone who has worked in healthcare, I would never put a patient through this. The lack of communication and basic respect from the office staff has been frustrating and honestly unacceptable. It's a shame, because the clinical care was excellent, but the administrative side is severely lacking.

I've been experiencing increased symptoms associated with diabetes (to which I have both a maternal and paternal history of this diagnosis). I called to request bloodwork to rule out the condition. I spoke with two individuals--I was told they couldn't see me for 1-2 months, because time has to be open for "sick" patients. I wouldn't be requesting the appointment if I wasn't feeling sick. The woman then went on to say that I've only been there four times since 2018 (I'm not sure how that's relevant?). The reason, of course, is due to how difficult it is to get an appointment. As a result, I've generally gone to urgent care when I have a cold, etc., as I know I'll be seen in a reasonable amount of time. My PCP is Dr. Rosen, who I've only seen once (my first visit), every other time I've been with Dr. O'Brien. Both doctors are very kind. I am a Psychologist; regardless of how good I am, clients must be met with respect by the staff that is the first point of contact. They are a representation of your practice. I will now be changing my primary care physician. Highly recommend that office staff receive professional development in effective, compassionate communication.
