My husband and I met Mr. Moore through the National Association of the Self Employed and received a free consultation on a pressing business matter. Mr. Moore was professional and seemed to be leading us down the right road to resolution of a burdensome tax matter. The solution involved completing a dissolution of a corporation and opening a new corporation in it's place for a large sum of money. We initially felt this was worth the investment since it took care of our obligation to the IRS, or at least we all thought it did. On Thanksgiving of 2013, Mr. Moore wrote to wish us a happy holiday and let us know the IRS forgave our liability. Unfortunately, just a few months later a knock came at the door and it was not pleasant. It was an IRS revenue officer who told us that we did in fact owe a liability of $50K and what we had done had no impact on resolving the issue. With Mr. Moore's help, we entered into a payment agreement and there was no room for discussion when it did not feel right to us. We asked if there was any recourse and expressed our concern and Mr. Moore wanted more money to even speak to us so we could gain an understanding and ultimately did not call us back. This review is not intended to question Mr. Moore's fees or the fact that we were not his preferable client which in itself is bothersome, it is to share with other people in our shoes who own their own businesses to trust your gut. When the 10 year stature of limitations became a reality and the same IRS revenue officer came knocking on our door, I was adamant that something was not right. Well guess what, we found through our reputable CPA a business attorney who agreed with us and for $1000 took the time to look into the tax laws and on his first try found that we NEVER should have paid a cent, not even the statue of limitations was the source of relief we would hope to use in our favor, it was the safeguard that led us to a final resolution and a ZERO balance with the IRS. Now when the knock comes on the door we know who it is NOT. So Mr. Moore, we are choosing to be grateful for this blessing through a path we forged trusting our own intuition, however you really failed us and gave us great cause for concern, sleepless nights, when there was legal validation in our favor which would have saved us a good deal of stress, money, and provided peace of mind. You didn't go the extra step. We trusted you and you missed a tax code that was there all the time in our favor. People should know this. read more
