There were a few great pieces of furniture and, though I wish there were more, I'm sure that changes weekly. Fresh eggs from a nearby farm were only $3 a dozen and found in a cooler in an adjoining room; that's a real bargain with grocery prices rising. I bought a blue and white speckled crock missing it's handle for $2 and a beautiful tablecloth for $5. Lots of pricier items, too, if that's your thing.

They were in the middle of their big Grand Opening and had free treats (can't beat that) but I think this is a nice, clean place to shop for funky vintage items and "real" antiques. Hope Center Thrift Store has moved as of June 2019 to the old G&W grocery store building in…read moredowntown Mt. Vernon. While it's a bit further off the highway and not as easy to find, this is a larger space and it's already obvious that they needed more room for the store because they now have a wider range of merchandise including some furniture items at great prices. There are still some pretty cool old signs from this building's former life as an old school grocery store! I really enjoy this type of thrift store that may be a little rough around the edges but offers a little bit of everything and very affordable prices.
