The Underground station closest to the London Monument to the Great Fire of 1666, it is also an interchange to the Central Line's Bank station. I wouldn't recommend trying to do it underground. If you want to change, I find it easier to go upstairs and take the walk along King William Street. Alternatively, you can stay on the Circle Line and change at Liverpool Street, which is much easier.
Monument Station opened in 1884 and is served by the District and Circle lines, between Cannon Street and Tower Hill. It is in Travelcard zone 1. There is no step-free access.
