There are people that actually live in the houses, I saw plenty of people go in and out of the houses. What I like is that this street isn't too busy, or swarming with tourists. It truly feels like you're back in old New York.

Show curator, Mr. Flower Fantastic, crafted a beautiful homage to New York City with taxi trunks, laundry mats, and City Townhouses covered and full of different varieties of orchids. The exhibit is a beautiful colorful display. I would sum the entire walk through of the exhibit at about 30 minutes with the option to join a dance party outside Enid A. Haupt Conservatory and enjoy drinks for purchase and disco music until the exhibit closes for the day. We definitely enjoyed ourself and had a wonderful evening. I can't wait to see what they come up with next year.

I am very interested in my father's upbringing, and wanted to see his neighborhood, as well as important personal landmarks. Several people- including other local tour guides, told me this neighborhood was too dangerous and I should do something else with my time. Joe met me at my hotel, and we took the subway together to the old neighborhood. Not only did Joe make me feel safe, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and prepared. He brought pictures of special landmarks, like my father's apartment building (which no longer exists) and my father's favorite candy shop, which has been a bodega for decades. He was also able to tell me a great deal about the history of the neighborhood. I strongly recommend Joe to anyone looking for a tour guide.

He met us at our hotel promptly the next afternoon, took us on the subway and chatted with us the whole time. Joe is very personable. We arrived in Harlem in 15 -20 mins later and began our tour the minute we exited the station. We were stopped a few times, because Joe is well-known in Harlem, being a native. Folks love him, and we understand why. He is a genuinely nice guy who loves his city and is proud of his and its culture. Joe's knowledge of the city and it's history made for an informative experience. If we had more time in NYC, we certainly would have booked him again for another tour in a different part of the city. Yup, its a little red lighthouse uptown under the George Washington Bridge. Its official name is the Jeffrey's Hook Lighthouse and there are some information plaques nearby where you can read abouts its history. Its also a literary landmark made famous by the children's book "The Little Red Lighthouse and the Great Gray Bridge". Also some nice parkland around it to picnic and take in the views.

What a great place to have in small town USA! I have seen amazing concerts there, this year alone: ranging from Ian Anderson, New Riders of the Purple Sage, Darlene Love, Paul Reiser, David Bromberg, Andrea Markovicci For one of the shows, I had injured my knee and couldn't walk easily. The staff went out of their way to make sure I was able to access a seat with a cane. I am so grateful to them for making an aisle seat happen for me. Every show gets better and better! Can't beat Landmark anywhere else on Long Island! Parking can be found on the street and across the street at the Library. There are about 40 seats in the balcony and another 350 in the orchestra. Every seat is comfy and gives a wonderful view of the very large stage.

"Van Gogh's Ear", a public art sculpture by Elmgreen & Dragset, is in place at 30 Rockefeller…read morePlaza, right across the street from the entrance to Sak's 5th Ave. The sculpture, by the same duo that brought us the Prada Marfa Store in the middle of the Texas desert, is a tribute to the ready-made style of Marcel Duchamp. The sculpture is a 30 foot tall swimming pool, taken out of its normal context and displayed in its side with a diving board built in at the top. One of my favorite elements are the working lights on the inside left and right of the pool sculpture. Being that it's out of context - a recreational object in the middle of a commercial center - it creates a sense of longing and desire for recreation over industry and gives you an off-kilter feeling (why am I going to work when I could be swimming!). Overall a great piece of colorful public art at placed I a great spot for the perfect season. The piece is on display from April 13th though June 3rd, 2016. Catch it while you can!

It's basically just a small little area where you can look out on to other parts of the park and then maybe visit the small gift shop. The staircase up to the deck area is small, narrow, and winding so depending on when you get there, be prepared to wait in a bit of a line that they have set up as a way to control the traffic flow up and down as well as keep the crowd up top manageable. So, if you're in Central Park, I think the castle is worth a visit. However, I would only dedicate maybe 10~15 minutes to it. I really wish there was more to experience here because it is a beautiful structure.
