They quoted me $55,184.55 just to rewire the apartment - here's a sample of their pricing: * $5,306 for 14 light fixtures with no access (that's $379 each!) * $7,406 for 15A circuits (14 of them!) * $8,554 for 26 regular power outlets (that's $329 each!) * $1,974 for 6 switches (!) * $4,068 just to run thermostat wires * And another $5,172 on overpriced baseboard heater replacements Then they added another $13,469.32 just to upgrade the service and breaker box: * $4,719 for a 200A panel and breakers * $2,940 for 60ft of PVC pipe (seriously?) * $909 just to ground to the water pipe That's over $68,000 before a single wire is touched. For reference, that's more than my car and nearly half what I paid for the building.
