On the 1st of July we were 2 adults and 2 small child (4 and 6) boating on Cook's Bay when we lost power. A fisherman in a small boat gave me a ride to Monto Reno Marina to seek help. A storm was coming and again, there were 2 small kids on board the drifting boat.
The managers or Monto Reno Marina were helpful and provided me with the phone number of York Police. Alternatively they could tow my boat or take me there with a small electric motor that a kind soul gave me for the emergency, but they would do so only for a fee of $ 120. Again, there were 2 small kids on the boat and a storm was coming - and I was not asking for a free ticket to Australia. read more
