Even from our initial phone conversation, David was very easy to talk to and super helpful to email me an itemized list of documents to organize my planning at the moment we spoke. As you can imagine having this info to start really provided me with the solid direction on where to start as the next of kin, amongst a family of 6 siblings and a host of secondary family members, for what was already a very sensitive emotional and financial situation. I think that it would also be helpful to know that David was kind enough to work with my limited schedule during my hometown visit, to provide a in-person consultation appointment with my family and I. During our appointment, the Brannon & Associates Staff was very kind, understanding as well as culturally competent, honoring our diversity as a young African-American family. David spoke in simple terms that we could all understand and also had a paralegal named Patty there to help gather info on our case. This immediately made us feel like we were being seriously and being placed as his priority at the moment. Together as a Team we sat together in collaboration and spoke openly about the facts of what would be my family's Estate case, including the discussion of such tough subjects as property values, debt and the creditor claims of my deceased Father. I was scheduled to return on Wednesday at that point I paid 1475 CASH to the receptionist and then went in and spoke to Eric I answered a few questions probably 30 minutes at the most ( he even mentioned how quickly we got through the questions) Later that day I received a call from the creditor and they decided not to garnish so I could save my credit from being damaged for 7 years I believe anyone would have done the same. Thursday morning I called and left a voicemail since the office is closed on Thursday's that I wanted to cancel the bankruptcy before it was even started or my paperwork was reviewed I spoke to Eric and I could tell he wasn't happy but nothing had been done I was quick letting him know I'm talking a matter of a day!! That afternoon I returned to his office to pick up a check for the 1475 I assumed there would be a small charge since he did go over some questions with me. As he handed me the check I noticed it was only for 1125.00 !!!! He took 350.00 of my money because he was mad that I cancelled he didn't do anything to deserve 350.00 I believe that was very unprofessional of Eric Stamps. Please beware of this law firm if they would take 350 from a single mother that only has one income they would take advantage of YOU too. Also the check he gave me was so unprofessional my bank almost didn't cash it it was not printed on the lines and they spelled my last name wrong.
