This is not a coffee shop where you can get coffee made. It only sells coffee. One of the things…read morethat makes the coffee special is that you can get roasted and grind daily and fresh coffee here. They also have I side coffee in cans. The aroma is nice when it is being roasted. The shop is small. It has two windows. It's like a drive-thru lol but you walk, no cars. You order in one window and get the coffee in a paper bag at the other window. They do not speak English here or try. Communication is easy because they only sell one type of coffee at the window and have two sizes. I did well with pointing. It is a place you want to know what you want before getting to the window. They have little patience and long lines. They run like robots here. It is crazy fast how work. Have payment on hand. The shop in near the spice market. The coffee here is well known. I bought some to take home. A week later the coffee smells just like it did when I first bought it. I intended to buy coffee so I packed zip bags for it. If u are traveling and dont want your clothes to smell like coffee i suggest to do the same.

May be the best coffee as it's in many shops. Went to the actual store and noticed a line and you…read morecannot go in the store and take your time to see what you want. Once it's your turn, the guys were impatience and rushed you to order. If you were not fast enough, they gave you that look like you are in the way. Didn't really appreciate the service at all. So if you know what you want then stop by but if it's your first time, be ready to face the coffee cop.

This is an awesome spot to take a break in the area and try some Turkish coffee or tea. The menu is…read morein Turkish, but the staff was kind and took the time to translate each of the items for us in English. Additionally, you can request to add sugar to your coffee as well. One of the best parts of this place is the cozy ambience that you can find upstairs. It was a welcoming place to take a break in and also has a restroom, which can be difficult to find when vacationing.

Plenty of guides recommend Fazil Bey as the spot for Turkish coffee for a good reason, but don't…read morejust take their word for it. Even if you are on the European side, take the ferry and try out this local favorite! Turkish coffee differs from convention in the preparation method. Instead of deriving and separating the coffee drink from the ground, Turkish coffee actually derives the drink directly from the coffee ground without separation. The result is a concentrated coffee that is almost as strong as Italian espresso but with more grainy taste from the ground, and I believe Fazil Bey does this well with the ground from their excellent home-roasted beans. The aroma from the coffee in Fazil Bey is an undeniable testament of the quality! Each cup is about 7 TL and includes a piece of the delicious lokum (Turkish delight) from the terrific Sekerci shop. When you find yourself in the Asian side of Istanbul, definitely try this epitome of Turkish coffee!
