Probably the most authentic taco place in Brussels!…read more Honest and family-run Mexican restaurant with a small menu; order quick cause ingredients run out fast ;-). The staff is super friendly. We tried the tacos only and oh boi they were tasty. The only low side was the waiting time after ordering. But take the opportunity to taste some of the brewskies from Allende and chill a bit, no need to rush. A true Mexican experience!

After walking around the city with a Mexican friend and his El Salvadorian friend, I had been…read morelooking forward to the reservation they made at Los Agaves for some Mexican food. We met up with the wife and a couple of her co-workers and were early for our reservation time, but it was no problem. We started off with drinks and they didn't have any Mexican beers other than Corona on tap. They had a few Belgian brewed Mexican themed beers, so I ordered one of these. The wife and I got the guacamole and refried beans as an app. She had been stoked for real Mexican tacos, so she got a plate of three mixed varieties. I order the Enchiladas Mole, as I had been looking forward to trying mole for the first time. It took a really long te for the food to come out, and when it did... What a disappointment. First off, it seems they don't have a kitchen? I don't know. It seemed like all the proteins were made ahead of time, as none were hot. The tacos were not really too good, as the wife let me have a taste. I asked my Mexican friend to taste the mole and he immediately replied, "That is not mole.". It wasn't bad, but it also wasn't what I was expecting. It was also cold. Lastly, they wouldn't split the check between the people at the table, which is their policy, but still, somewhat frustrating. Wouldn't go back.

One of the best ways to get a four star maybe even a five star review is to simply get more staff!…read moreOne waiter who never stops moving, he greets you, takes your order, buses your table & holds the door for you as you leave. It not his fault, but he can only do so much. Heck I saw kitchen staff help him out. We would have stayed for the dancing if we felt we would get dessert or even refill our drinks. But he was way too busy. Which is unfair for those dining... The food was on par with the Lebanon house which beats this place solely as they have more staff. However one chunk of my wife's chicken was slightly pink. Not something you want to see or experience. It was just the one chunk so... shit happens. Sadly there were a group of inebriated diners who were ululating. Now why you'd go to a middle eastern restaurant & behave in such a manner I don't know... I'd love to have a minimum IQ limit in able to be in public but. Yeah I'd dine alone with my wife most of the time. Happy to go back when they hire more staff!

The deal - unlimited buffet for 29 EUR for adults (1 drink included), 12 EUR for kids (no drinks) - is nice, if a little spendy. There's a good mix of sweet and salty. The space isn't really set up for the lines it generates, and this particular mix of Europeans doesn't do a great job of "queueing", as it were. The line for the omelet/crepe station can get particularly testy, be forewarned. All of the little brunchy things - the meats plate, the cheese plate, fresh breads - are all top-notch. Service is friendly and attentive.
