History
Established in 2012.
We Started the business in 2012 with the original name of Country Roots Photography because of Mandy’s roots being from the south and her nickname was country. The name was then changed to Mandy Monroe Photography to sound more elegant. The latest change came in 2020 to Monroe Phocrations to incorporate photography and her creativity or creations.
Meet the Business Owner: Mandy M.
Mandy grew up in the small town of Scotland Neck, NC, where cars park in the middle of the street, there is no stop lights, and directions are landmarks. Her father had a photographer business so over the years she picked up a few things along the way before leaving her small town life behind at the age of 18 to join the military in 2004.
Fast forward to 2011, Mandy was married, had a daughter, got her first degree, was out of the military, deployed, and was about to pick up and move to Las Vegas, NV.
In 2012 she started working for the Department of Veterans Affairs where she activated the VA hospital in Las Vegas working with Public Affairs. During her time at the VA she photographed surgeries, crime scenes, pathology , events, portraits, high dignitaries such as the President of the U.S. (Donald Trump), the Secretary of the VA, etc. and more. In January of 2020 she left the VA to go back to school full time to pursue a degree in Social Work to better assist Veterans.
