We visited this store before our visit to Versailles to get some snacks and water. This store is a lot bigger than it looks on the outside! There are cosmetics, cosmetics amd household goods on top floor. The bottom floor is groceries. The store was wekl organized and had great air conditioning ( which felt amazing on this hot day in July). Got near-insulted for wanting to cash in my purchases with a €100 bill by a 40-45 y.o. cashier called Frédérique (first name not changed), who had like 15 red €10 bills available for my change... Right before me, a couple of elderly english people saw their articles (one half-baguette, a bag of croissants and a few slices of ham) trashed away by the same cashier with two fingers, as if these were radioactive and required pincers... Well, unless you're OK with being trashed by unhappy clerks, then by all means do half their job and get the exact amount of money required... or make the extra 100 meters north to the local Nôtre-Dame Market... read more

We shopped at this Monoprix a couple times when we were staying in Versailles. It is walking distance from the chateau. They have all the basic necessities you need ie. groceries, clothing, beauty supplies, etc. Their baked goods was somewhat lacking, but they made up for it with their large selection of cheese. I found a package of my favorite fig cookies called Figolu by LU for 1euro! Score! Good clean supermarket with reasonable prices. read more

Clothing upstairs, grocery downstairs. We went for food but monoprix is also useful for last minute clothing at reasonable prices. The food selection was great! Cheese, bread, and wine! Great selections of all and what more could you need?! The bread is not quite as good as a bakery but they are open earlier so a trade-off was made. The wine selection is better than most monoprix's in Paris! read more
