Great place to take your smaller kids! I have four kids, and all of them have loved Monkey Joe's at some point. There are a wide variety of bounce houses for them to enjoy, and there are different zones for kids of different ages. Sometimes bigger kids can get a little rambunctious around the little kids, but that's not MJ's fault, and an employee will step in if they get too out of control. There is a nice little snack bar and arcade as well. I'm going to miss taking my kids here when the last out outgrows it! read more

Kids enjoy themselves but Parents would rather the female staff not wear booty shorts. Not an appropriate "uniform" in an establishment that's for children. I've been to the perfect version of Monkey Joe's style entertainment (meets the wants of both kids and parents) and the worst (overbearing, extreme employees that punish involved parents). This Monkey Joe's falls somewhere in the middle. What is good? A variety of air filled obstacles that will appeal to kids young and old. A separate zone for the little ones so they don't have to compete with kids way older than them. Video games and activities for the chill kids or the ones that just want to slow down a bit. Well labeled signs that inform the patrons about all the rules and expectations. Lots of seating for adults. Food and drink that appeals to kids. What could be better? Make it easier for parents to hang out longer. Comfy chairs, work areas, drinks that adults enjoy. You want to get the parents in, get them to stay and spend money and make sure they return? Give them reason to. Cater to them not just the kids. Monkey Joe's is fine for what it is. It is fun, appeals to kids and gives them something active to do when it is too hot, cold or wet out. But it could be better, I've seen it, with just a little more emphasis on the adults. read more

Fun place for little kids to bounce around in the winter and during bad weather. I think the perfect age is 3-6 ish. Gets a little boring after that. Decently priced. Snack bar simple but decently priced. They also have a little arcade. read more

It's a nice place. My 6 year old loved it. My only concern is the staff is super rigid in the gifts that can be exchanged for the tickets. My kid had 296 tickets and there was a toy for 300 points but the kid on the counter refused to give that toy for 4 tickets. We told him that we still have 3 points in our card that we didn't even use to play so he can use that instead but he declined. I feel the staff should be trained to little more flexible where plus minus 10 tickets should not be made fuss about. He was ok when we left 6 points unused but not willing to 4 points. read more

Great place to bring younger kids! Our 5-year old Grandsons had an awesome time and we ended up staying for 2 hours. The employees were very friendly, professional & helpful. They check your wristbands when you leave to make sure you are taking the right kids home with you (good security measure). We went on a weekday when older kids were in school and it wasn't crowded. Best bouncy castles I've ever experienced. I was able to help my 3 year old on some of these. They're A LOT of fun! The arcade area is not overwhelming and there's something for each age group to keep them entertained. Prices are pretty average for these kind of places. Definitely making this a regular place to come and get energy out during the long cold winter days. read more

It's fine when it isn't busy but It seems like when it IS busy there are often kids who seem much too old to be in there... tonight, a very large boy screamed at my three-year-old and then punched him and pushed him down because my three-year-old asked him what his name was. As is often the case in this place, there were no parents to be seen anywhere, so I have no idea which parents this bully belonged to. We left and won't be back. Also: they obviously have some problems with this, if you look at other reviews, and also based on the fact they've now added a sign talking about how "committed to safety" they are. If they were really commit to safety, they wouldn't allow big kids to run around unattended punching little kids. read more

I was with someone today at Monkey Joes seeing my grandson and witnessed a child making gestures as if he's cutting a throat to other children. Specifically a younger couple with their son/stepson. I saw the grandmother see this and didn't do a thing. I then heard him while he was in the slides talking about "hurting the other kids real bad". I was going to report it but saw the man who the child did this to doing it first. And quite obviously disturbed as I was. I thought for sure the child and his family were going to ask to be removed. When I saw they weren't and I was just getting ready to leave when I saw that child very angrily and violently push the other he was threatening. The grandmother yelled at the stepdad for even saying something. The stepdad then reacted (rightfully) and was then kicked out and not the violent child giving obvious threats. I'm still literally jittery from what I witnessed today. Several parents saw it. Some didn't. Making the man who's child has been threatened look more irritated than the situation called for. I will clarify monkey joes and the grandparent/parent of the child did nothing about the incident and I was compelled to call the police and cps but I was getting out of there. I love the idea of Monkey Joes. Though, I think I'll feel better taking my children back when they're older. While there is a 3 and under section, no one enforces the age restriction. My 1 year old was getting knocked around by a bunch of 5/6 year old kids. Thank goodness he's a bruiser himself, but I think someone on staff should keep an eye on the bouncers for babies, similar to the incredibly nice young man monitoring the large slide. We went on a holiday, and it was fine for a bit and then it became a complete sh*t show for lack of better words. Beware of this establishment if you have pre schoolers or timid/smaller elementary kids. The facility itself is good, but it was overcrowded this Saturday. Do they limit the number of kids that can come in? None of the houses had a staff member monitoring how many kids were in each house or monitoring poor behavior of very aggressive older kids. This set up for an unsafe environment. There were clear limits written on the # of kids that were to be in each house, but there is no way the kids, or even a guardian/parent, could monitor that themselves. Some kids were literally jumping up and over some of the walls in one of the houses without a care as to whether a smaller child was on the other side. There are age limits on some of the houses, but the older kids didn't care and wouldn't listen when told they were too old. Until a staff member could be found to tell them they were too old, the kid would be gone... Until the staff member left. This could have been a great experience if there was some system to control the crowd. I'm just thankful my little ones came out with just one crying episode from roughness of a bigger kid and no lingering injuries. I won't ever be back unless I hear the management has done something to improve the safety standard from absent to appropriate. read more

I took my son to Monkey Joe's with my wife and even though he is 1 yr old and they don't have many things for kids of his age, he still had a good time on the two inflatable play areas he was able to go on. I would go back since he enjoyed himself and for younger kids it is only $5 as opposed to $7.99 for kids over 4 Monday through Thursday. read more

My family and I love coming to this establishment. Our kids always have a great time. For the most part the bounce houses are clean and properly kept. Food is decently priced for a kids play place. Overall we enjoy ourselves every time we come here, however the bounce houses need to be better managed. There really isn't good supervision over the bounce houses. I actually got into a little dispute with an older lady tonight who accused my daughter of pushing her grandson down a slide and she definitely DID NOT! It would have been nice to have an employee back me up and have kept an eye on the situation so it didn't look like I was just lying for my daughter. My older kids love Monkey Joe's. Its great for 5 and up. However my little ones get bored quick as there is not much for them to do. I was more surprised I never heard of this place in my 12 plus years living in Harrisburg. Give it a shot if you have older kids, they will be exhausted and sleep the whole car ride home. read more

When you walk in, you are hit with the smell of disgusting feet and carpet powder. The smell absorbs into your nose and after a while you get a headache. They should consider doing public hours and birthday party hours. It can get a little overwhelming. Great entertainment choices for kids, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful employees. My 11 year old loves Monkey Joe's the best also. What an absolutely horrible experience. This location provides false advertising about an area for children under 3 where parents can assist them. The reality is that there are 2 bounce houses designated for children under 3 that aren't monitored by staff, that parents cant help children in, and that have many children twice the age inside. We left after 10 minutes when our toddlers were hit repeatedly by kids way older than 3. Glad we paid such high prices for nothing. Great place for kids to burn off energy in the winter months, otherwise we go outside to play. Usually crowded. Unattended kids will get your ire up. We witnessed a boy that was probably no older than 3, by himself, and had a good size contusion on his forehead. Where are the parents? Staff isn't here to baby sit your kids, be responsible. Our kids are 5 and 6, and my wife will take off her shoes and go in the bounce houses to check on the boys from time to time. Wash your hands frequently, or even take wipes for your kids. I used to really like this place. They have bouncy things and it's relatively clean considering all the children. However, their sales tactics are misleading. They had some sort of a Hawaiian party and hyped it up. We showed up and employees were wearing Hawaiian shirts, that's it. All the ads said games and prizes. My kids were really upset. read more

The staff here is pretty awesome. Really friendly and courteous. My son loves this place. $5 for the day is plenty worth it to tire my son out and have him sleep like an angel. Took my 2 boys their over the weekend. It wasn't super crowded. Food and drinks are over priced. Hi-C was nasty. Soda was watered down and flat. Didnt order food with the pricing. My boys 2 and 4 years old had alot of fun. They had 2 bounce houses for 3 and under. But no one enforces the age group. Huge slide which my older son loved. Although the kid that was working there and making sure only one kid at a time was on it seemed to really hate being around any of the kids. I get it kids can get annoying. But still he was miserable. The arcade area is small and over priced. Pay 1 for a reloadable card. So we paid 1 for the card and 4 for games. We played 3 games and the card was empty... the bounce houses were nice. Some wear and tear. And the place looked run down. If you look at the walls. Seems like they threw some paint on the walls and added a bunch of bounce houses and new carpet. Peeling paint and walls are messed up. All in all my kids loved it. Awesome place. It's nice to just let your child go tire themselves out and you not have to chase after them. I don't highly recommend birthday parties here tho. Had my son's 3rd birthday party here. Paid over 300 bucks for 2 hours. In that two hours we didn't see the staff more then like 2 mins. They didn't at all seem thrilled about their jobs. Awesome place to bring the kids to burn off energy. Weekends are VERY hectic. Lots of birthday party's etc. I have been here several times & usually there are plenty of employees to keep the peace and flow of the place. Today when we got here we had to wait until others left due to maximum capacity. When we got inside I noticed there were not nearly as many employees at the different bounce house & one in particular had bigger kids rough housing & knocking younger ones about. I mentioned to several employees & who I thought to be the manager. Several employees came in the vicinity however stood in a circle talking laughing & joking rather than even check on the situations in the bouncy houses. I heard several other patrons mention the pandemonium in the certain house & they were told someone would be there in 20min. My reply was "your gonna have some crying kids in a whole lot less than 20min" STILL no one went to attempt to gain order. While we were visiting Hershey, we decided to take my 3-year old daughter here one afternoon. It's a great place! Very clean and quite a few bounce houses to keep my little one busy. This place was terrible yesterday. The place was busy when I got there right after lunch. Then a bus load of camp kids approximately 30 of them came in. These kids were school aged and out numbered the small children who were there. People with young children left because there were way to many bigger kids and the little ones could possibly get hurt. I don't know why they can't book the camps on a certain day of the week and not open the doors to the public on those days. It was definitely out of control, the workers had to stand at each blown up and monitor how many kids were going in at a time. I left early as well, and didn't feel my granddaughters got there money's worth. read more
