Their seasonings are spot on and don't overpower the flavor of the meat. Most BBQ locations smother everything in sauce. What are they hiding? I very much enjoy their sauces but always have them on the side. I taste the meat's quality and quantity. And their handmade Mac & Cheese should be award-winning. Made from 7 different real cheeses, it cannot be compared to any boxed Mac & Cheese. The difference you are tasting, and not used to, is quality. The family works countless hours preparing your meal before it is served. This is the complete opposite of every other fast food place in town. Their goal is 100% customer satisfaction. Service-wise, no notes. Our waitress was warm, attentive, and genuinely made the experience better…read more The wings also deserve a proper shoutout: perfectly cooked and easily the highlight of the table not to mention the homemade buffalo sauce. From there, things took a bit of a downturn. The burgers were underwhelming dry, lacking seasoning, and ultimately forgettable. The pastrami fries leaned heavily on grease rather than substance, with the pastrami playing more of a cameo than a starring role. Unfortunately, the steak sandwich was the biggest miss, leaving one of our guests feeling sick for the rest of the evening. I'll admit, I had a moment of hesitation upon walking in. Carpet in a dining area always feels like a bold design choice, and in this case, it set the tone more accurately than I'd hoped. This seems like a spot that might shine as a late night, post drinks indulgence when expectations are, more forgiving. But for a sit-down meal, it didn't quite deliver.

In retrospect, we probably should have been suspicious that the employee took the credit card out of sight for a moment despite the POS terminals being set up at the counter. Thankfully, when the third and largest charge hit, the bank flagged it and then also reversed the two smaller charges that preceded it, so mom wasn't out any money. My tri tip sandwich was delicious, but mom was disappointed with her pulled pork sandwich. All in, the two sandwiches, one order of fries, a Diet Coke and a bottle of water was nearly $75 which in and of itself seems outrageous, and mom tipped nearly $20 on top of that. The generous tip made the fraud charges feel even more egregious.

The restaurant was empty, yet the food took quite a while to come out. When it finally arrived, my toast was burnt, and the pastrami sandwich I tried was extremely salty.
