By 8am on Monday, Marty had emailed me back and we were booked within the day. Fast email responses and he was great with dealing with us, especially as we were now paranoid because of our first DJ flaking out. Music was great, and he was great at respecting out music requests and banned list. Great job all round A photo booth also came as part of our package and it was a great hit with everyone and it gave us great momentos to take home at the end of the night.

Barrie DJ/Music of our times…read more We got married last September and Hired Barrie DJ Worst mistake of our whole day!! My wive and I bonded over music and it plays a big part in our relationship. Our wedding was music themed so as you can expect music was a very important aspect of our wedding. We hired Marty because he seemed to be accommodating to our requests, we were wrong. Like any couple we spend months and months (if not years) planning our wedding. I likely spent about 50+ hours perfecting the play list for the dance portion of the night (which Marty said would be no problem). It all started like this, on our first meeting Marty seemed to be more interested in looking at my wive and asking her about her career then talking about music for our wedding (should have been my first clue). He then arrived nearly an hour late for cocktail hour (sighting that he couldn't find the place (when he told us he had been there before). We ended up using an Ipod for cocktail hour which worked out because I had spent so much time planning everything out. Then when he arrived my wife asked him "why are you late?" He responded my saying "i'm only 45 minutes late" He then proceeded to move his equipment through the crowd during cocktail hour, rather then wait till we were in the dining room for dinner. During dinner we had paid $50 at the bar so he could eat whatever he wanted. then the dance portion of the night started, he played about 10% of what we discussed, he just played whatever he wanted, when our guests would request something he would reply with a "no" or "well see". Having not played anything requested. Later in the night we served a late night meal for which Marty was first in line (for which he was not invited, after we paid for his dinner) he comes back through the crowd with a heaping plate of food even before our guests had gone to get some. All in all I would definitely say this was the worst part of our wedding. My wife and I are pretty easy going so we just let it go and tried to enjoy our night. I wouldn't say it ruined the night, but was certainly not what we paid for. Marty was late, rude and unprofessional, I would certainly recommend that anyone considering this company think twice.
