I wanted to purchase a $150 bottle of Blanton's Bourbon, and at first, once I showed him the coupon / discount code online, he said "it was a website glitch", to which I advised him, that, the glitch is in the store, and not on the website. I clearly showed him where it said "IN STORE" , and then, he made a phone call and spoke to someone, and after that discussion, he still refused to honor the discount, and, told me he wouldn't sell me the product. I advised him that he lost a customer, and, he also lost whatever markup there was on that sale, and, not a lot of those get sold either, proof being the amount of dust there was on the top of the gift box when he took it down from the behind the counter shelf. My advice is, find another liquor retailer who knows how to honor chain discounts and respect a customer. A great alternative to the Shell station less than a mile away before Elgin O'hare expressway. I find the prices slightly cheaper. The pumps are well kept and the reciepts always print at the pump. Pros- good location, slightly cheaper gas Cons- Gas is so expensive now! Hidden deals- You can get a BP credit card which will give you 0.25 cents back per gallon first 60 days on 100 dollars, with 0.15 cents afterwards and 0.05 for all other purchases per 100 dollars. This can be redeemed for money off at the pump up to 20 gallons at one time or as 15 dollar back for every dollar you earn. THIS IS SUPER CONFUSING.... I would rather just get a bank of america credit card and get 3% cash rebate or Chase freedom with 5% back during select quarters.
