UPDATE: today is March 20…read more In August 2025 I developed chronic idiopathic urticaria (hives/rash) during the heatwave, it persisted into October - only getting worse after seeing dermatologists who prescribed steroid creams, which also made things worse. heat was my trigger for this CIU. It was so bad I had to keep my clothes in the freezer, putting them on cold to help stop the itching and soothing the hives temporarily, and take ice cold showers Each morning. Even my hair brushing against my neck and back made me itchy, the lightest touch - shaking hands, or just wearing clothes made me itchy. It felt like the nerve endings were so sensitive. Anything that made me warm or hot triggered itchy hives. It really sucked! then it occurred to me to call Dr Ee to see if he could treat urticaria. I'd had acupuncture for stress and back pain but never skin Issues. that was mid October. I started going 1x week starting Oct 14 thru Nov 11 before Dr. EE would be out of office thru mid December. from the very first treatment I felt something I hadn't felt since the urticaria started... I FELT COLD! As well as relaxed. After the first treatment, I went home and fell asleep for three hours. I normally cannot sleep during the day. I needed that! My skin slowly developed less hives, and was less itchy. Each week with Dr. EE I improved more. I could wear long sleeves, long pants anbd socks again. December 1st my skin was 95% better. I was curious to see if my skin would continue to improve before I went back. New Years Day - my skin was 100% normal. No more hives, itchiness, and could take cool showers instead of very cold ones. I can even take a warm shower if I want. My clothes no longer have to be chilled before putting them on. Dr. Ee hears what you say. He truly wants to help you. Just explain the problem and he will take care of it. He is absolutely the very best there is. I'm grateful to Dr. Ee. I'll be making an appointment for next week as it's been a while - to keep things balanced! Do not hesitate to call Dr.Ee! He truly is a master of his craft. His office is pristine, the staff and receptionist are absolutely wonderful, too! Thank you, Dr. Ee!

I went in with chronic neck pain from spinal cord compression and now can say that I am CLOSE to being pain free. I had an epidural that worked to some extent, but the real relief was finding Emerald and Dr. Chloe. She is a GENIUS! Her knowledge of the systems of the body and how to use Accupuncture is beyond what I expected. She listens to your issues and then tries to help. And BOY SHE DOES! We're now working on my torn meniscus and while the pain isn't gone, it's on its way to being drastically reduced. Dr. Blair has created a unique rehabilitation practice that is a cross between the most effective PT one can get and a day at the spa. Usually a session is comprised of Accupuncture, cupping and targeted massage. I was apprehensive about just how helpful acupuncture could be BUT I AM A BELIEVER! They accept many types of insurance and while it is covered for me, I would pay if I had to. There is no price for real pain relief, and I have found it here. Give them a try before you consider the "typical" PT route. I can't say you will have the experience I have had, but I promise it will help. 5 Stars!

I was looking for the right words to try and aptly introduce the amazing Dr DeRiggi and am still searching. I love chiropractic care and swear by it. As my mother was having some digestive, knee and extremity issues, I looked for a chiropractor close to her home for alternative and natural healing. Lucky for me, I found DeRiggi Family Chiropractic on Old Country Rd in Plainview. I felt the warmth, the genuine concern from Lauri as she answered the phone and took all the necessary information, called me right back after verifying her insurance coverage and accommodated Mom at the very last minute on a Friday for a new patient first visit which takes longer. Proactive as she asked me to fill out the new patient paperwork prior so as to save time. We got the same contagious warmth, welcome and love as we walked in the door to this immaculate office. We got to meet the wonderful Teresa who was also just so kind, patient and understanding. Meeting Doc DeRiggi was something special: he was sweet, oozing with love, very patient, all about helping the person in front of him, very easygoing and very, very sharp and thorough. He connected with Mom and explained everything in simple terms with her all around well being being paramount- not just immediate relief but long term. Loved it!! Based on Mom's age and specific health issues he adjusted her with a hand held activator vs doing a manual two hand adjustment. Mom left feeling great right after the first visit. She was inspired and motivated to start changing her diet and do her exercises. This is HUGE!! I can't thank Doc DeRiggi, Teresa and Lauri enough. Doc you are a natural healer who is straightforward and gets to the source of the issue, not someone who merely band aids the symptoms and your team is right there with you. Truly grateful! This beautiful, warm and inviting office is open 6 days a week M - Sa and is located on the north side of Old Country Rd between S Oyster Bay Rd and Rt 135. A Blessing! So very grateful!!

South Bay Movement & Wellness lost my business because of their front desk staff!…read more Before becoming a patient I called to verify my insurance coverage and pricing. I started going for acupuncture and medical massage treatment and it turned out that I was given the incorrect information and ended up paying more each visit than I was initially told I would have to pay over time. They eventually admitted that I was given the incorrect information, I reconfirmed exactly what I'd have to pay each time and I continued because I really needed the treatment. Additionally, the massage therapist's availability was limited and hard to align with my schedule so I started booking weeks in advance. For my most recent appointment, I received the text message to confirm my appointment 4 days in advance and I replied to confirm - it was correct for the day and time I booked for. The morning of my appointment I got a reminder via text message stating that my appointment was a different time (a time I couldn't make because of other commitments). I called the office right away to inquire about the time change - they saw that my appointment was moved and someone else was in for my original time slot. Knowing I booked it weeks ago (23 days to be exact), and received the confirmation text 4 days prior, I asked if the other person booked before or after me. They confirmed that MY ORIGINAL APPOINTMENT WAS BOOKED BEFORE THE OTHER PERSON. So instead of honoring my original appointment that I booked first they called the other person to see if they could switch - not to tell the other person that the office messed up and someone else (me) was already booked for that time slot!! They called me back to say the other person didn't answer their call, sorry for the mixup - apologetic but totally wrong in making me lose my appointment because of their error (and because the other patient didn't answer their phone) and would not change it on the other person even though I was booked first. Aside from the front desk staff, acupuncture services provided by Kristen and medical massage provided by Terese were excellent. It's unfortunate for these service providers to lose the business not by any fault of their own.
