The service tech arrived on time and the repair itself was completed fine, so no concerns with the actual workmanship. The issue was the cost. The technician initially quoted $1,000 for a standard Moen faucet replacement. When I pushed back and said that felt outrageous, the quote suddenly dropped to $800 with a different faucet option. Given that a standard Moen faucet typically costs under $200, the pricing felt excessive -- especially knowing I was remote and unable to handle the repair myself. To add to the concern, the invoice was not itemized -- it only reflected a flat $800 charge with no breakdown of parts vs. labor. Unfortunately, due to the lack of pricing transparency, I won't be using this business moving forward. Be careful with this business -- pricing felt extremely inflated. The price came down to $450 because I had purchased the promotional plan a couple of weeks earlier. My feeling is that they are primarily sales agents masquerading as tradesmen. Insurance required a new valve under my kitchen sink and they did replace it a couple of weeks earlier. Unfortunately a new drip from the faucet sprayer line appeared. So I had them back out and got the new quote for the faucet replacement. The house is 25 years old so I'm sure it was just coincidental. On the plus side they are friendly and courteous and are quick to schedule, and they show up in the window of time. My gut tells me that they treat every visit as if it is after normal hours and price like it is an emergency call. They would not provide me with an hourly rate in the quote. I'll try to replace the faucet sprayer line myself. I think the part is about $40 ;)

The toilet would continue to run after being flushed until she jiggled the handle. She had her Visa card for payment until the Aztec plumber quoted a price of $1100 to replace the toilet. Clearly, they were attempting to take advantage of an elderly customer. She was smart enough to deny the service. We purchased a replacement toilet from Home Depot for $250 and found a reputable person to install it for $200! BUYER BEWARE...We will never call Aztec again or recommend their service to anyone!

They were on the high side in cost and I had sent an email asking some questions about the quote. They were answered promptly by a very nice customer service agent, however they still were above their competitors, and so I hired another company. That company didn't work out, and so I was on the hunt again for plumbing companies to do my job. I put Spartan back in the mix of quotes. About that time, the customer service agent emailed me asking if they could answer anything further regarding their quote. I sent a second email with a few more questions and unfortunately did repeat one question from my prior email. However I also gave new information about my setup that would affect the quote and invited them to update their quote. I also wanted to understand why they were charging over $1500 for a second man for 10 hours when none of the other 5 companies did that. I received a call from the plumber, who proceeded to berate me for asking so many questions and never letting me get a word in edgewise to clarify my concerns or position. He claimed I had sent numerous emails asking ridiculous things and he was tired of answering my questions. As noted above, I only sent two emails, the second one because I was dumb enough to reconsider this company a second time and because I had a change in my job scenario and asked for a requote. Don't consider this company unless you have something quick and simple and are in a pinch to get someone. They charge too much for a big project and are intolerant of people who vet their companies and want to understand what they are getting for their very considerable project costs.
