One could call the Moltkebrücke (Moltke Bridge) the main entrance to the Moltkeviertel (Moltke Quarters). The bridge crosses over the S6 Railway Line (the S6 leads directly from Essen to Cologne). That does not sound very romantic but the view is still worth a look: You can see the tracks which continue from this point to Essen Stadtwaldplatz absolutely straightly and you can see the old Bahnhof Süd Station Building which crosses over the tracks and which nowadays is occupied by a pub of the same name (Bahnhof Süd).
The bridge was built in 1910. It is made of concrete faced with shell limestone. Four wide stone pillars give the bridge some class. Over the years the attractiveness went down a bit due to natural aging and graffities (of course). Fortunately the bridge is currently under renovation works ( http://www.derwesten.de/staedte/essen/sued/hoffnung-fuer-die-moltkebruecke-id3914925.htm ).
