Good mode of transportation when driving from Copenhagen to northern Jutland. It gives you a nice break for an hour or so while you eat or relax without losing any momentum. Ferry line between Sjaellands Odde - Aarhus or Sjaellands Odde - Ebeltoft is a life line between Jutland and Sealand. They operate high speed catamarans with huge capacity (more than 400 cars). By ordering in advance good discounts on the ticket can be obtained. It serves as a pleasant alternative to a car trip around Funen. Food: Better than what could be expected from a ferry (but will probably not be why you are here anyway). They serve cafeteria food - hamburgers, sandwiches, soda - which is acceptable. There is also a restaurant (which I haven't tried) and a Baresso coffee shop onboard who serve the usual espresso, latte, cappuccino etc. The coffee shop is quite popular so there may be a line. You are allowed to bring your own food and drinks. Kids: Entertainment for kids onboard is limited to a small area with over-sized lego bricks. It doesn't really matter since the crossing time is so short - bring your own entertainment and go outside (to the stern) and watch the spray from the engines. read more
