This is even worse when you're a foreigner who doesn't speak German, so you can't even listen in on any hot gossip. Since I touched on the topic of speaking, I will say that the waiters I had spoke decent English. They were very kind to me, and didn't appear judgmental over me being a foreigner- as I had feared. So, I did feel bad when I got frustrated over the long wait. Their restaurant is usually packed with customers, so if you want a taste of their food without the anger of having to wait so long, best option is to occupy your time with some good friends, videos on your phone, or read a book. So again, is the food from Du & Ich good enough to sit and relax at their table? I'd say yes, but please bear with them as they are taking their time for a reason. I rarely give glowing reviews of perfection but this little shop deserves it! Upon entrance, you'll notice it's a small shop with a smaller selection of pastries than some other bakeries around.
